This morning i went to turn on my PC, something caught me of guard, stand-by light wasn't blinking, and my keyboard light wasn't on, i hit the power button the case light, and H100i block Light turns on for a split second then off. and nothing.

Any idea?

I bought a new PSU this morning before work, and i checked everything, replugged everything. It died in its sleep which is weird. lol I was figuring the PSU just checking on opinions.

and thanks!

Any thunderstorms at the time?

We had a bad storm back last Wednesday with surges, and I didn't turn off my computer since I forgot and I was in a rush in the morning but it worked flawlessly after and it's turned it off last night around 1am wake up 7 hours later and it's dead.

Could something be shorting that prevents it from turning on? Last time my PC kept shutting down because a screw was loose on the mobo and it turned it off

Trying another PSU i found around the house, which is 750W, redid wiremanagement. Replugged everything properly so.

Tried two PSU's and nothing, at this point bought a new Motherboard. i guess the MOBO suicided, took it all apart, and i7 4770k is fine so :D

200$ spent on new components, she sure needed a tuneup.

Kitten, you should slow down and do some troubleshooting rather than throwing money all Willy nilly at it. Are you getting POST lights flashing on the mobo, maybe a small LED staying lit somewhere? Perhaps pulled some RAM sticks or disconnecting the hard drives and seeing if you can get to the BIOS?

It's dead, couldn't jumpthe motherboard computer doesn't even turn on, tried two PSUs, one new one and an old one I found laying around, nonlights at all, changed CMOS battery, and still no life. mobo dead. Everything was unplugged GPU was removed, Sata cabled removed from MOBO and no life, no lights.

Is it working with the new motherboard? I agree with the poster that said to make sure nothing is shorting.

I found this thread on a forum with this guy with the same mobo, and basically the same specs, and had the same symptoms, the diagnosis was a dead motherboard. He bought a new motherboard and it fixed the problem. Also, i bought a new motherboard MSI Z97 Gaming 5. Plus i bought a new PSU because i wanted a modular one. Stormtrooper needed and upgrade and some cleaning he was quite a rats nest with the wire managment.

Any updates? Do you have it working again?

Also, what type of mobo is it? I have an ASUS RoG Maximus VII Gene - here's hoping it's not that. :(
