11/23/04 - Certainly an interesting thing you should try. If you can do gang wars, hop in a plane or boat and drive southeast, right to the bottom right corner of the map. Continue driving that way for about 20 minutes. Now, hop out, and drown yourself. When you get back to land at the hospital, look at the map. Odds are there will be new gang areas to take over that you've never even seen before! One person actually has his Las Venturas, and San Fierro area covered with gang colours.

Strange o_O

I tried to do it with a plane instead of a boat/helicopter.
I don't know if I did something wrong, but nothing happened.

I will maybe try it with a boat... (20 minutes aerg)

Ew, taking over gang turf has been my least favorite part of the game so far. Interesting glitch, but I won't be trying it...

aside from finding the gang members to actually start the gang war, all you do is run around and kill people :)

Cool. And do your gang members (OGF) hang around there? If so, is it heavily saturated with your gang?

What gangs are in these areas? Just Ballas and Vagos still?

I don't know the answer to these questions...
I haven't done it yet.

I think there's new ones. (I think I saw a Red area on one of the screenshots on the topic of GTAForums.)

Well, there is a purple part on the north-east side of San Fierro.I never really botherd going there to claim the territory.I think i'll go and have some fun.It gives me a good chance to put the minigun to good use. It's getting rusty.

Well, when you do them, tell us what gangs you go up against. It looks like the Ballas, but some people speak of other colours, which interests me the most.

This hasn't happened to me, but in LV and SF, there are places that under under gang territories, but they're not on the map. You can tell by looking at the name of the area when you enter it at the bottom right of the screen. For example: If you enter baller territory, the letter at the bottom right of your screen would be purple.

Yeah. There seems to be a bit of a glitch with that. When you enter your house, or exit it, your place and Ganton seem to be in purple/red writing. It means nothing, however.

Doesn't always happen either... I was in Idlewood that is in a lighter Purple but I wasn't sure whether or not it was a territory... so checked the name and it was white... but then I found some Ballas and maimed them and initiated a gang war so it was a gang territory.

I have a territory which I kept dying on the 3rd Wave. It is now grey. It is almost undetectable, except you can see a small outline in the water. It's almost completely over-run by OGF, except very rarely, and I mean very, I will get a group of 3 Ballas, or 1 car with a Ballas OG in it. I was going to start a Gang War, but I was in the middle of something. One day I might do it, but it's cool. I actually don't mind it.

Also, that Vagos area in Bayside Marina, Tierra Robada, seems to also be a glitch. Apparantly it's a 1 Wave territory, much like the Glitch Territories spoken of in this Thread. Odd.
