I hate when I want to switch cars how I have to reload the menus, find the car, go back to the track, and finally I get to run it. Someone has already mentioned cleaning up the menus like Forza.. well I've never played Forza and I don't really care.

I'd just like to access my garage of cars just like ONLINE! but during FREE RUNs.

Ive tried Forza 3 very briefly my womans little brother has it and I have to admit the car selection screen is much much much crisper than in GT5
 
When you're selecting what event you want to do, there's a car icon on the bottom right that's your garage.
 
Speaking of the garage, just wanna clarify sth:

After the 1.05 update, is the sorting function (~sort by make/date acquired...etc) reset when you quit the game or turn off your PS3?

I know the sorting does stay on when you're still playing the game, but does it persist even after you turn it off just like back in GT5 Prologue?

It "forgets" your sorting preferences when you quit the game.
 
It would be nice to be able to access your whole garage from the online section as well, what is the point of having to put everything in favourites, defeats the object of favourites.
 
Hmm.. hard to believe anyone would mention Forza in the same breath as car selection. One thing I have always disliked about Forza is the menu system and especially the car selection screens and as of forza 3 the tune selection is really bad as well.

I liked the system in GT4 with the pages of cars and always shows the ones you had driven most recently on the first page by default.

Forza 2 was apt to lock up during car selection. Forza 3 made a couple of improvements in that the trigger skipped several at a time to allow you to jump through the cars a bit but had no filters like GT5 does and made it harder to find you cars.

In online mode on Forza if the room was limited to A class then you would only see your A Class cars but the car you want may not be A Class at the moment so you have to go load a tune. For some crazy reason Forza 3 shows you every car in your garage and forces you to scan through them all to find th ecar you want to load a tune on and only then does it show you your tunes resulting in many times selecting a car that does not have a setup for the class being raced.

From an efficency standpoint Forza car selection menus are the worst I have used.

Also in Forza 3 the blinding white backgrounds on all the menus are horrible imo.


I agree that it would be nice to access our entire garage from the online lobby menu as well as favorites. I also think it would be nice if others in the lobby could access our shared cars or least those shared by the host and drive those in the race.

I'm talking about in practice mode, when you're running one car you have to back out of everything just to select another car.

Hi,

When i share cars online with friends using the online option in the garage, it works ok but when i quit game, restart ps3 & go to garage previously shared cars arent shared online anymore..Is this normal?

When i share cars online with friends using the online option in the garage, it works ok but when i quit game, restart ps3 & go to garage previously shared cars arent shared online anymore & i can even select & drive these cars (normally u cant drive shared cars)..Is this normal?
