garage and cars limitation

Hi, first post to the forum.
Anyone could tell me if there is any garage size
limitation? I am expecting to have every single car
in the game and I am wondering if one of these
days I will receive some message telling me "Garage is full".
Currently I have 166 cars (different) in the garage.

The other question is about the cars in the game. Is it
possible to buy or get every car you see on the game?
I know there are many cars that cannot be bought, others
that do not appear on the Car Dealer lists. My question is
if there are cars you run against that you can't own. Or
maybe some car that appear just in Arcade mode.

Well, I'm pretty sure the Garage limit is 200 cars Max, which is plenty, and as for getting all the cars... I'm pretty sure it's possible to get each and every one of them somehow (even the Diablo, but only by sharkport so far). Hope that helps, and is right...somebody correct me if I'm wrong. Later
 
200 sounds correct. Am sure you can obtain every car in the game too.

How many total cars are in the game, including the different color schemes? Is it more than 200 or can you own every car in every color scheme in your garage?

Actually these 166 cars I already got are really different, not counting the color schemes, so I guess the total cars number should be something around 190.

well not to burst anybodys bubble or anything but ive done this and i know first off you can buy 170 some cars all in one color however there are more than 150 cars to win so if the garage will only hold 200... 170+150=320 then your garage falls 120 slots short and just one small word of advice try not to buy a car that you can win because through my research ive found out that the cars you win will have slightly more hp than the cars you can buy im working on a horsepower faq to have posted somewhere here in gtplanet sometime soon just have to fix a few bugs in it then send it on its way

You contradict yourself. There are cars you can win that you can also purchase, therefor there is not a total of 320 cars. In fact, Sony/Polyphony have stated that there are only 190 cars in the game. That is, cars with different names, not colors. And the garadge holds 200 cars. I'm sure the extra 10 spots are for things like the 787B which you can only win a limited number of times, but more than once, and can not be purchased. That way you can go ahead and win them and keep your reserve in good shape until you *need* it (:

I was just reviewing 2 different car lists and comparing with
what I have in my garage. My calculations (not precisely) state
for 183 cars in the game.

And yes... it seems a car you win sometimes has more hp than
the same one you bought.

the reason why cars you win from races is because they have had a oil change is from what im guessing cause the amount of hp you get is about the same as if you did a oil change on the car.
 
It's really weird.
I got this Subaru Impreza Sedan WRX STi (red one) on the
Gran Turismo All Stars (professional league) and it came
with 326 hp. I bought a brand new one, changed the oil and
it has just 316 hp.

Maybe the car you win as a prize comes with some changed
part?!

well here soon on gtplanet will be a gt3 car hp faq complete with every car bought and every car one with dealership hp garage hp
oil change hp and fully modified hp however the one downfall to this faq is that every car listed has NO mileage on them and the cars won do not list dealer hp as you cant buy some of them i stand corrected on how many cars are to be won and bought im just going off the fact that i had to make two memory cards to pull this hp faq off due to the fact that halfway through the endurance races after i already had every buyable car bought i only had 4 slots left in my garage reason being that it was seen somewhere that there was an elusive car that you could get if you conquer gt3 in a certain way and one of them listed to have every buyable car and every possible won car in the same garage well proved that theory wrong so that then lead me to do the hp faq so look for it soon should be here within the next two weeks :)

Thats the worst car you win in that race i rather win the gt one race car or r390.

the elite car would be the ruf gt super turbo 2000 by koening and as im looking at the requirements to win it ,i noticed that it should be somewhere here in gtplanet cause thats where i pulled it from. but just in case it is lost somewhere heres what it says:

win all gt3 races and challenges (gold)
complete the game at %100
Get all gold licenses
own ALL cars (win and buy) included All Bonus Cars (you will have to win selected races more than once)
Win the dream car championship with a non modified car! like the rufs!!!!
win the sundays cup with the unmodidfied mini cooper!


done all that three times and still have not gotten this RUF GT SUPER TURBO 2000

also looking at the official versus books strategy guide the number of cars numbered is 181 the volkswagon lupo cup car is 164 but you cant buy it . and it list 17 bonus manufacturer's.

58 secret cars

which the secret cars are the cars that you cannot buy so i stand corrected

OMG, somebody found the Holger thread! I knew this would eventually happen... :) This car does not exist. The poster of this information was BANNED by Jordan (if I remember correctly) for stirring things up around here with all that BS. Also read the thread entitled: 'Holger is an ass'... I think that's what it's called. Sorry, but it's better you hear it now than after jumping thru all the hoops to get a car that isn't there...
 
thanks for clearing that up crackhoor that must have happened while i was away for awhile but yeah after trying to get it like three times it wasnt to be found :)
