One of the important things PD should do in the next update is to put a shortcut icon to the car garage in the track menus so we don't have to go all the way back to the main menu to change cars.

I for one, like to compare various car performance on on track at a time and it is currently time consuming to keep going back out to the main menu select the garage then the car then load up the same track again.

Otherwise GT5 is one hell of a great game!!👍

Yup, one of the many other wanted features...

you can access the garage like that in online rooms.

Free run rooms are the "new" practice mode.

Would really speed things up in my top gear runs.

I think he wants a garage button in aspec, bspec, and seasonals.

There used to be one as i remember before the update.

Common sense feature that escaped PD somehow.

They should get a new game designer and let Kaz take care of the day to day operations.

+1 I've been dying for this simple option. I cannot understand why it hasn't been added? I can access my full garage while on a track waiting for a race to start in an online race but I have to go all the way back to the main A-Spec menu when I'm in single player mode to change my car? Why?? Very frustrating.

Was thinking about that just yesterday, if you add up all those wasted seconds having to go back to the pre race menu to pick another car... Who knows how we could have used them (get that extra beer from the fridge, doing that extra pitstop in the bathroom)

I agree with the OP, also I would like to see an option to go to the tuning shop and Auto Parts from the Garage...I could never understand why engine tune upgrades and weight reductions are only available from the tuning shop whilst other upgrades like turbo/exhaust/suspension etc are available from the garage settings.

It's frustrating when you have a car you want to tune whilst online. To get back to the lobby you need to take the long number down, go tune the car then come back to see that the race is in full swing.

I think that the purpose of the tuning shop would be defeated if you could buy engine upgrades and weight reductions from the tuning menu.

But I do hope in future GT games the tuning shop is scrapped all together and we can buy parts for cars just by going into the tuning menu of a selected car.

I'm guessing you are talking about when in arcade mode correct? That is the most annoying mode to use, everything requires you to go back the main screen eating up gobs of time just to swap a car or change the course you are currently on. Why is that such a scatterbrained effort is beyond me, but it gets very little use from me if any at all. To make matters worse you have to add cars to the favorites in order to use them...dumbest idea ever. Why on earth do i need to do that, jut give me the tabbed browser that I use online to use offline in arcade mode to select my car, what the hell is the problem with that?

Very true, anyone know why there isn't an option to uprate the brakes, we get to stick larger turbos and big engine tunes to go faster - aero mods also. But no way to stop quicker.

Agreed, OP. I've been wanting this feature since the release. Going back all the way to the main menu just to change a car is tedious!

Faster loading menus would be even better. Taking 10 seconds per page is crazy at this point in technology.

Agreed!!! I was going to post this too a while ago but forgot. There are times when I want to do a time trial with multiple cars at a certain track but then just end up quitting because I have to exit the track every time I want a new car. I really hope PD sees this.

Would love to have the ability to go into practice mode with one car, do my runs, exit out to the track menu and switch cars to do it all over again.

It would make too much sense! Therefore, won't happen.

I would like a feature where you can set up offline races with your bob's all driving your cars against you. That way you can compare some cars. lol I keep wanting to race all the different classic VWs against each other

I think there MUST be a coding issue or something else that is keeping them from adding it. It's not that PD won't do it, its that they can't for some reason or another.

At least that's what I think.

Not arcade mode, in GT (main) mode. I was aiming for accurate comparisons between cars, or as accurate as I can get.

By the way, has anyone else noticed that the Lexus ISF has way more HP in the game than in real life. 456 in the game yet in real life it's about 414hp. a bug? It will also out accelerate the M3 and C63, as tested on route x because of this bigger hp and a very quick changing gearbox. The C63's gearbox in real life is much faster at changing gears than in the game. I might have to put a customized gearbox into the game's C63.

It may have been before but with the recent change to the way they load the drivers/cars it may be possible to switch out user cars. Even if it had to reload from the beginning I'd still like to be able to switch without exiting and loading back through all the menus.

I'm pretty sure this is the case. There are a lot of weird things in the game that people presume are oversights or call "stupid" but they are that way for a reason. The graphics and physics push the puny 200mb of RAM (less than half of what my cell phone has) to the very limits and they've had to make a lot of compromises to maintain the quality.

This article, though a bit old and pre-spec 2, goes into great detail about how the game works and why a lot of the weird things are the way they are. An average of close to 60fps comes at a price, but in my opinion it's worth it.
