Hello everyone.

Now that I've completed the story, i started a garage for the pleasure to test and tune all the cars in the game.

Second Life Garage have a vocation to restore and customise, every car have a story (Fake or Real). So the the thread will be a mix of in-game and real picture through all the all process.

Feel free to interact with me, proposing anything and correct my english :D (yes i am french and its the best way to learn for me)

Here is a preview of the cars to coming.

Hey man, props for this. I thought of doing the same thing myself but I just don't have the time right now. Really like the rust repair and the primer overspray on the masked off window glass! 👍👍

^^^ I like it. Props to your driving skills too.... I still suck at drifting. I can't seem to get my tune right.

Thanks man, hey look if you're after a few drifting tips feel free to message me anytime I've made quite a few tunes and also do videos if that makes easier by request. I've also started doing the full versions of my drift videos unedited so you can see the lines taken, the angle, gear, speed etc. just let me know man :)

Well, I'm not very far into the game. I'm at level 23 or something like that. I'm using a 180SX as a drift missile and right now I think I'm around 347HP. Here are my problems drifting:

If I slide the Drift---Grip slider all the way to drift, I can't keep the car in a straight line. It wants to fish tail back and forth. Fishtailing = lack of precision = crashing = NO FUN.

So I've been running a custom tune bias towards 'mostly drift.' Part of my problem, I think, is that I don't have enough horsepower to keep from shifting... I noticed you pretty much never shifted out of fourth gear. I lose too much speed on a drift and have to change gears. The biggest problem is the drift exit... it doesn't matter how high of a line I take in the corner, as I lose speed the car oversteers and drives straight into the wall.

Okay well you're not wrong there. I've noticed in the game that if you want a great drift car, you're either drifting, or you're not lol. My stats are 6 kilometres driven and just over 95k drifted. So you can really see what you gotta do, teleporting is genuinely the easier option.

As for the gearing I use a manual transmission, most cars I've found have the "sweet gears" which is usually two gears that the car loves, the higher one consisting of your speed gear but still readily drift able, and the lower gear (usually limiter gear) for when you do need to slow down and drift a sharp bend but have the power ready to exit.

With your car over steering, that's not you. In any way. I see so many people say this and it sucks that nfs doesn't give insight to this but the rear wheel drive cars or the cars that genuinely should drift, don't. They're pretty useless. It's the all wheel drive cars that you're going to want to use. I absolutely love the sil80 and would love for it to be my drift car but simply it can't do the things you need to do without over steering. Notice how you can limiter bash 7th on the same corner you'd be limiter bashing second? Yeah....

Great drift cars include the r32, r34, Ford Focus, Subaru Impreza, or if you're having no luck you can always use ken blocks hoonicorn when you unlock it (where's the fun in that). Another good drift car is the rx7 but in saying that, it's extremely hard to get the hang of.

All in all the drifting isn't your fault it's genuinely the car.

Thanks for the advice! I'm a Lamborghini guy and intend to have all four in my garage at some point, I just can't afford them yet. I've seen good drift videos using the Huracan (I was thinking at first it is all-wheel drive, but on second thought I think it's rear wheel drive).

I just realized we're really derailing this thread. My apologies to the OP
