I've seen some people mention GARG in the glitch thread and having had 3 corrupt saves, I kinda already had an idea on how to recreate it. Did some testing and found how to corrupt my save EVERY time as well as how to prevent it.
Okay, so what is "GARG"?
Grab any new car and change any setting in a tuning sheet and switch to another tuning sheet, you will see the sheet's name change to GARG. It seems the game doesn't properly save the settings in one sheet and tries to carry it over to the next if you switch tab. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't, but you always get GARG in name field.
How to corrupt your save with GARG
Simple. Just edit/delete the name "GARG". Anytime after that, if you save or the game auto-saves, next time you load the game, your save will be corrupt.
How to prevent GARG from corrupting your file
Whenever you see GARG, do not edit it, just back out and re-enter. GARG will disappear from the tuning sheet's name field. If you save after this, your file will not be corrupt when reloading the game.
How to avoid properly edit your tuning sheets to avoid GARG
Edit only ONE sheet at a time. When you're done with it, do not switch tabs. Just back out. It makes the changes permanent. To change settings in another tab, just re-enter, switch tabs and edit only that tab and back out. You can also name your tuning sheets safely this way.
Hope this helps.
protip: backup, backup, backup!
