It appears that @JASON_ROCKS1998 is winding up his AC Time Attack thread and I am thinking of taking up the mantle myself. With the new DP2 update I find myself irresistably drawn to this game once again:DNothing fancy, just a fun competition amongst GTP'ers. I have equal interest in street and race cars and would like to see more outside the box combinations like the AC Cobra at Magione or the XBow at Barbagallo. Sticking mainly to AC created cars and tracks but I do love my Barbagallo and the new Miata:crazy:Any and all assists would be welcome, personal choice.

Is there any interest for this? Any suggestions?

I'd be interested, don't know if I'd do every 'combo' that's suggested, but if the Formula Renault 3.5 goes somewhere, or there's a Hypercar week, or something oddball, I'd probably set a little time aside for it.

Edit* Car suggestion - RWD Ruf RT-12R, seeing as it's new and totally-not-Porsche-cause-it's-better, plus no AWD understeer. M4 would also be interesting.

Due to time constraints I was only able to partake in two of the events before, but it definitely interests me! Count me in!

I'd be interested. But for sure I like the idea of using user-created cars. NSX, Supra, Miata, 3 different generations of the M5 a lot of good quality mods out there. Just to add some variety to the field.

I`m interested. I`m also pretty new to AC so won`t be bothering the top of the leaderboard. But, I figure its a good way to learn the circuits I don`t know and re-learn the ones I do! (still getting out of the GT driving habits). 👍

It could also be a good way of highlighting the really great mod cars and tracks out there.

Not sure if I have the time to partake in every event, but the interest is definitely there and I hope to try as many combos as possible!
I don't mind mods either, I think the MX5 (I refuse to call it a Miata :p) is definitely one of the cars we should try out.

If I can learn how to take and post the pics required for proof of time I may runs some of them as well.
Should be fairly simple: http://gadgets.ndtv.com/games/features/how-to-take-screenshots-using-steam-698897

Be aware that if you use SweetFX then the image is "grabbed" before the SweetFX effects are applied. So in that case you have to use the SweetFX key for screenshots. (Source: http://forums.steampowered.com/forums/showpost.php?p=34133775&postcount=7)

Or, you could use MSI Afterburner for example. Screenshots grabbed with that will include SweetFX effects. I'm doing that myself.

For posting I use Photobucket myself. Very simple to upload and get forum links from the images you have uploaded.

Edit: And to stay on topic, this is something I have never participated in before, mainly because I would probably end up at the bottom of the leaderboard. But it could be fun to join for once, however scary it might be.

Sounds like a good idea 👍. Was only able to compete in one before being so busy, hopefully will have more time to do so soon and if so count me in. I would suggest using a variety of cars and track like Jason did, however change the reward system. Like award points for the top 5 scorers and not make the difference in points awarded so large, like 10 for first place, 7 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd etc.

I hadn't given much though to points but since it's just for fun I'd probably go with a straightline type system like 10,9,8,7....1 sort of thing (with everyone who enters getting 1 in case we have more than 10:dopey:). It rewards consistent entry along with good finishes and I'd like to encourage consistent entry:cool:.

Not sure if I will get time to be active for this but will try and do some of the weekly events. Would be awesome if there are some F1 2015 race matching combos too. Also what about having no points, just weekly or fortnightly wins?

Haven't thought it through but I'm still thinking that a straightline points system will encourage participation because everyone will get points and winning isn't such a huge advantage. The real advantage goes to those that consistently participate and that's kind of what I want to encourage.

WRS and online seasonal time trial events on GT6 have a lot of people still doing them and there are no points awarded for them.

If points system is like mentioned then makes it hard to make a difference in ranking if one misses an event, it will be very hard to come back into it if there are a lot of people who do every event. F1 points system should be better.

WRS is drawing from a player base of millions we don't have that luxury here:lol: I want to encourage involvement, and IMO, having a runaway leader discourages that. I'm thinking more along the lines of Nascar points than F1 points. Maybe it's the wrong way to go but we'll find out soon enough:cool:

We do have luxury of GTPlanet members already on here like WRS and quite a few have Assetto Corsa going by likes on first post, chance of a good turnout.

The problem I think having points like that is if there are 10 rounds for example, you could miss one event and win the remaining 9 and still lose out. There are already a few posts on here saying they won't be able to do all the events so whoever does all the events like I did for example in the other thread has got a really high chance of being runaway leader but this time with no chance of getting caught. Newcomers late on also got very little chance of climbing up leaderboard.
