Gear display question

Hi guys

I've had a quick look through the forums but cant find an answer to my question anywhere...what i wanna know is what is the little arrow and smaller numbers next to the gear display readout on GT3 and GT concept,sorry if this has been asked like a million times but as i said i did look and cant find the answer

the littlle number appear when your approching a turn , the computer indicate what gear u should use depending on settings and tire wear

Arrow? Do you mean the red dot?

When the number flashes it's an indication to start braking.
