I have a Civic Type R '08 from the new dealer. completely upgraded but with a slight flaw: the gears "stutter" when it goes to change in automatic. When its in manual, I can do it just fine. However when a turn comes up I must look at the suggested gear, then back at the track and change gears. I'm no video game genius but I can play video games without looking at the controller, but not with racing games (on technical tracks only, I'm all good on ssr7 or ssrX). Im trying to do a tune and this is my first one, trying to see if I can tune on my own successfully. I dont know if its to do with the trans or LSD. Thanks for any replies that help.

Stay away from automatic and just stay in manual. Then, learn the track so you don't have to look at the suggested gear. In fact, turn off the suggested gear. Learn to not look at the controller as it will distract you. Done.

If you're going to tune a car, don't test it out in automatic transmission.
