I just pulled the trigger on a LFA and to my surprise and disappointment the car seems to have very tall gearing (stock). You can punch the gas from a standstill and it barely smokes the tires (sports: hard). To e this just does not seem right. Does anyone else have this problem???

One the plus side, it is an amazing drift car.

I noticed this too. This was my first expensive car and I was pretty disappointed with it. BUt after I tuned it some and lowered the weight, it drives phenomenal. Hard to control, but once you learn it, it's fun. I think getting some of that extra weight out was the key.
Now its one of my most used cars. Painted it Matte Blue and put some black 5 stars on it.:)

While a very fast car in its own right, showroom stock, anything is going to feel slow after you have gotten used to the 900 hp tuned anorexic monsters that most people have in their garages -- even an LFA. Throw some money at it and have fun.

👍

It's not supposed to shred tires to begin with. The LFA has high gearing because it revs to 9000rpm. It's like an S2000 with double the power. You gotta rev it way up to get a good launch. Take out some of the weight though, guarantee that will make it fly.
