Gearing Realism???

Hey guys,

Something has been on my mind lately after watching those videos on GT-TV.
The Nissan GT-R and EVO X are not Manual cars, there Semi-Automatic.

So why can we select Manual?

If the game boasts it self on realism, then why do we have such an option?

Are there any other cars that are only Semi-Automatic in the game?
 
1st. It's Prologue and it might change.
2nd. It's a hassle to make every cars gearing method different.
3rd. If you wouldn't be able to choose manual, people would whine about that.

Conclusion: Either way you do it, it's still going to be a dinner with whine, bitch and a slice of moan to finish it off.

But personally, I would like it to be how the car was designed. Even though that will not happen.

I can't drive manual, I always choose Auto, but if a car was only ever manual then I would still be happy, would still have a crack at trying to put a half descent lap down.
 
In effect unless you have the wheel with the clutch pedal, aren't all the cars in the game semi automatic? ;) :P
 
They even said in the EVO X video on GT-TV that the idea to implement the semi-automatic gearbox came from games like GT :)
 
You cant use clutch and H-shift on GT-R.EVO X dont know,I dont have it.
 
I use the controller still , lol.

Have a G25 but I am hopeless with it.

After using my g25 I can't go back to the controller. Its just not as enjoyable. Didn't notice any slow-down in my times or drifting. (gt4 anyway)

Just need get used to it a little.

I don't know what's your point, since in real life you can change gears manually using the paddle shifter in both cars. Also, in the game you can't turn on the clutch when using the G25, as both cars lack manual clutch in RL.
