awesome!!!! even have a female on the cogs (at least shown in battle). with 4-player co-op should be a GREAT game. I am a huge fan of the Gears Of War series, loved BOTH games, but i suck badly at GOW2 (they took away the power of the shotgun which was my best friend in GOW1) multi-player. Sucks that it's showing to be a year away. :indiff:
 
I also suck at the multiplayer. Thats why I usually just play horde mode or the campaign. Now if they just get some sort of TRUE matchmaking into the multiplayer for GOW3, then maybe I will be able to enjoy it. But at this point I plan on focusing on horde mode and the campaign for GOW3.
 
i still need to play the second one. i really didnt enjoy the sp but co-op'ing through sp was epic in the first game. but now ive no one to co-op with :(
 
Its a full drop in drop out co-op game. If you start a new room, someone will join. The 2nd one is very good especially the very last level. Even to this day, the last couple levels just amaze me.

i think i'm a glutton for punishment. Although i suck at the multiplayer, there's a small group of friends that still play it from time to time. I get owned pretty regularly, and curse a lot, but i still seem to enjoy it. I notice that if u play lately, the people who are STILL playing Gears are usually ranked high-up, so theres a good chance you will get defeated. I also enjoy Horde when you play with people who actually cooperate. :)👍

I play a lot of private horde mode. Sometimes I start with public then ask them if they want to go into a private match together. Get a few friends together for that and you get a lot more exp points plus it allows you to pick your own maps and your own difficulty. I should look at my stats because I know I have a LOT of hours into the GOW2 horde mode.
 
They really need to improve the multi-player this time. They said they were going to improve it over GOW1. They did add extra modes and stuff to make it fun, but it was overall laggy - moreso than the first game because you couldn't choose what host to join anymore, so a lot of the matches were horribly frustrating.

I've not played it for 6 months or so now so maybe they've improved it, but they've GOT to do something about the host advantage/lag issues.

Loving the new COG armor, and they're actually showing signs of aging.
 
I checked my stats on the GOW2 site and it says I have only played horde for 82 hours. Seems like I played a lot more horde than that but maybe not since I play this game in short bursts.

My K/D ratio is 5.63 because all I play is horde. lol
1,337 sniper shots. All horde mode.
Most played map is Avalance. Thats the fastest to level up on in horde mode.
Longest kill streak 130 in horde mode.

The only problem i have with the multi-player is the matchmaking, in Gears 1 when you are in a room, you stay/keep playing with those people until you or someone leaves. In Gears 2, they keep switching out players/opposing team after every round and it took a LOT more time to find games. If you are in a party at least you don't have to search for your team, just opposing, but still took a lot more time. If you wanted a re-match etc it was a lot more work. :sick:
 
I prefered the GOW2 multiplayer over the GOW1 multiplayer. At least if someone leaves in GOW2 they add bots. In GOW1 your entire team could quit and you were all by yourself. That sucked bad and after 2 weeks I quit playing GOW1. Hated that multiplayer. But yes they need to fix the major host advantage for sure. Even in horde mode you can clearly tell who the host is.
 
Yeah long time to find matches too. Some good features in GOW2 but they need a better system to find better hosts and hosts nearer to you. Hopefully the match making will be improved for those aspects.

Horde was fun though. :)

Actually they fixed the search problems. You can find matches almost instantly last time I looked. Yeah when the game first came out I never found any matches and gave up on the game. Took them a long time to fix that.
 
CB - when do you play online? at this point im only online for a couple hours usually between 9p-midnight cst.
 
Weeknights after 7:00 EST or anytime on the weekends.

I only play this game once in a while with with friends in horde mode or Campaign. I do not like the multiplayer and I dont play it. Lately I have been riding the brumak to rack up some points toward the seriously 2.0. I found a quick way to get around 1,700 kills in about 15 minutes.

Wow the graphics are a significant upgrade over Gears 2, which I play a lot. Can't wait for this game to drop.
 
Actually the graphics and game is buggy as it is in some beta testing stage, which got leaked. You can see textures, frame rate and lips movements and many things are not proper.

Spoilers. So this is the ending ... music is nice
