geforce 5900 Specs?

I have to literally prove how much better a Sapphire Radeon HD 3850 is compared to this old card (stubborn father ). Anyone mind sharing a link?

The problem I am finding trying to help you is that the FX 5900 is such an awful card that no one seems to have bothered benching it in 3DMark 2003, and 2001SE wouldn't give a good indicator of the 3850s superiority over the 5900.

Do you have a PCI-E slot to even support a 3850?

5900 = AGP... >_>

There's a AGP version of the 3850, the best AGP card that i know of. Its best comparable to an 8800GT
(a PCI-E only card).

If i had PCI-E, i would be getting something along the lines of a 9800GTX+ instead

Be sure to ignore the ratings on those though...The 5900's was surely done when it was a current card...

The card you have is way down the list compared to the 3850.
Its still not as good as a 8800gt card though. Close But it may be overkill for your system. The processor will slow you down a ton.
