How much excitement and sporty character can the current Ford Mustang really offer? The answer to this question delivers 520 hp, reaches a top speed of 178 mph, and in addition to racing-inspired body styling painted a hot GeigerCars.de orange offers an exclusive interior with 10,000-watt sound system. The show car Mustang GT 520 from Geiger Cars, Europe’s leading tuner of American automobiles, demonstrates the true potential of the reborn sports car legend.

More power through more displacement and supercharge the whole thing to boot is the recipe behind GeigerCars.de’s performance tuning of the Mustang GT V8 engine. Displacement was increased from 4.6 to 5.2 liters, and the engine was extensively reworked. Precision-machining of both cylinder heads, installing sport camshafts and reinforcing the valvetrain are part of the GeigerCars.de power treatment as is a belt-driven supercharger with generously dimensioned intercooler. A fully stainless-steel high-performance sport exhaust system with high-performance manifold and metal catalysts round out the engine conversion.

In this guise the eight-cylinder engine produces a proud maximum power output of 520 hp, up from stock 300 hp. The peak torque of 415 lb-ft is available at 4730 rpm. Power is transferred to the rear wheels via a modified six-speed manual gearbox and a sport clutch. The GeigerCars.de Mustang GT 520 delivers exceptional performance: The sprint from 0 – 60 mph takes just 4.1 seconds; top speed is 178 mph. For an optimal supply of cooling and intake air the Munich tuner has also developed a special hood with large air dams.

Another Geiger Cars innovation is the sporty aerodynamic-enhancement kit that is designed to fit both body styles of the current Mustang, convertible and coupe. The new front fascia was designed to be easily exchanged for the production bumper, thanks to its precise fit and the retention of the original mounting points. The large oval air dam ensures ample supply of cooling air for all radiators and coolers. The lateral openings were shaped to optimize the air flow for best possible brake cooling. The integrated front spoiler reduces lift on the front axle. The Geiger Cars rear fascia with integrated diffuser is also designed as a replacement part. Together with a large adjustable wing it produces notably more downforce on the rear axle than the production car. The Geiger Cars rocker panels round out the sport package for the latest Mustang models.

The spectacular appearance is further enhanced by multi-piece Geiger Cars chrome wheels. The Mustang wheel houses offer enough space to fit five-spoke wheels in size 9Jx20 in front with size 255/35 ZR 20 tires. The rear axle features size 10Jx20 wheels with tires in size 285/30 ZR 20. Specially matched to this extreme tire/wheel combination is the height-adjustable GeigerCars.de coil-over suspension. Firmer damper settings and a ride-height lowering of up to 50 millimeters lend the two-door even more agile handling. Geiger Cars sport sway bars minimize body roll in fast corners and make turn-in more precise.

To keep the exceptional performance of the GT 520 safely in check at all times Geiger Cars has developed a high-performance brake system for the Mustang. It features vented and cross-drilled 355 x 32-mm brake discs and four-piston aluminum calipers on the front axle. For even better stopping power the GeigerCars.de sport brake system with 355 x 32-mm discs and four-piston aluminum fixed calipers can be installed additionally on the rear axle.

The interior of the show car is hardly recognizable as belonging to a Ford Mustang: The exclusive fully leather black interior features highly contoured sport seats for improved lateral support, and, most of all, a multimedia sound system from JBL that was custom-tailored acoustically and visually to the interior of the Ford Mustang coupe. The sound system is controlled by an Alpine IVA-W200Ri head unit connected to a digital PXA-H701 sound processor from the same manufacturer. It allows the driver of the GT 520 to shape the sound according to his or her personal preferences. Thanks to the easy-to-use iPod adapter “Drive&Play” from harman/kardon the driver can enjoy the music stored on his iPod in addition to listening to radio, CD’s and DVD’s.

There’s no such thing as too much power and thus the Mustang from GeigerCars.de offers not just copious amounts of same under the hood but also in the interior. A total of four JBL amps, types Px300.4, Px600.2 and A6000GTI, drive the speakers with no less than 10,000 watts of power. A bigger alternator and five Optima Yellow Top batteries ensure the stereo system’s electrical health even at full volume.

The best was also barely good enough when it came to the integration of the loudspeakers: None other than installation specialist Renato Rivic from X-Dream-CarAudio implanted the distinguished products for JBL in the Ford Mustang. His futuristic shapes and choice of luxury materials add quite a bit more style to the interior. The vehicle now features a perfectly integrated real 5.1 surround system with top-shelf hardware from JBL. The speakers are located on the dashboard, in the doors, the space formerly occupied by the two rear emergency seats, and in the trunk: Two W15GTI subwoofers as well as three C508GTI, two GTO804 and one C608 GTI loudspeaker systems guarantee exceptional listening pleasure.

WHOA!! Now that is sick! I like everything about this car including the color. The stereo is a bit overkill especially with the weight of 5 batteries but hey I bet it sounds really good.
I am surprised they didnt engineer a Monte Carlo bar for the engine compartment. Almost all the Mustangs are notorious for pulling in the shock towers after excess stress.

I'll take the engine mods and even the colour - but i'll leave the styling additions and ICE on the shelf please ;)

Im really suprised, as CAMAROBOY69 said, that they've left out a front strut cross-brace. I guess a little understeer wouldn't harm a 520bhp Mustang too much.

I can't argue with that, I've seen a few much nicer looking Mustang modifications than this, though the performance seems good.

All that machining port matching, boring, stroking, and it still has 3 hp less than a Kenne-Bell manages at 8 psi on a stock bottom end. Sad.

What seems to be the problem getting performance numbers out of this Mustang? The GT500 was slow (well, slower than it should have been with 500BHP. No reason that not only can some dork in a Camaro SS beat you, but also the guy with a Mustang SVT Cobra R or even just a normal Cobra).

The extra 200 lbs of audio equipment? The wheels oversized by 2 inches? Those could be contributing factors.

Honestly, this car lost me at "9Jx20". Every word after that made me more and more hungry for Chinese take-out. Or maybe that's because it's close to dinner time. Good work on the rest of the car, though, not that it's all that hard to improve the stock Mustang GT. And the GT500 still has the best front end for the current Mustang, with the Saleen/Parnelli right behind it. This one is passable, but still ricey.

Do I have to be the first person to say it?

...I don't like it when Europeans attempt to modify our American cars. The only thing worse are the Japanese jobs, but thats for another thread...

First of all, the bodykit sucks. It takes away too many of the classic lines of the Mustang, but does very little to add to the overall look of the car. Added to that, the spoilers are far too large and overdone, and when combined with the "so-so" paint job and wheels, it is just too much.

For that kind of power and presumable costs, I'd just go for the GT500. Hell, be a cheap-ass and buy a Shelby GT with merely 325 BHP.

Quite honestly, I think this is a bad example to bring the Euro mods to American cars. This would look bad regardless of where it was made, and is two steps away from becoming some kind of body kit of doom for the Mustang.
Cars like that german 'Vette show that very nice and original things can be done to American cars by European companies, perhaps to even improve the original car other than performance wise. This, however, is just some riced out peice of garbage that is probably only announced to coincide with the DVD release of Tokyo Drift.

I think its time to Un-Pimp Sie Auto!

It looks better in Shelby GT form (sans spoiler) anyway...

Looks really good to me apart from the huge soundsystem. Remove that and we have a lovely performance car. :)

All that interior work an not even any pictures of it? I was wanting to see it since it said it looks nothing like a stock Mustang inside. I think it would be alright with a milder spoiler, Shelby GT appearance (the S-GT looks the best to me, I think its the grille), and about 9,600 watts less. What is up with "5.1 surround sound" in a CAR? That means you get five speakers and a subwoofer? I've never heard any sort of audio system in a car be called "surround sound", so is this any different?

...I hate it when people ruin cars by adding monster sound systems. You aren't going to need that much power when you have the ultimate sound-system sitting in front of you; A 4.6L DOHC 24V V8 engine!

People add all of these performance pieces, remove equipment in the name of "saving weight," and then go about adding 500lbs of stero equipment. Whats the point in that? Just to show that you've got bass?

...I'm more than satisfied with most stock stero systems these days, particularly the new Volkswagen setups in the Rabbit and Jetta...

Can't argue with you there.

Primarily, because these guys want to annoy people with their stereo coming, and their loud exhaust going. that, and they want the world to know they like Rap or that screaming punk rock. Because you almost never hear any other kind of music pumped out over these stereos.

I agree wholeheartedly with the 4.6L remark. It's even better with four big, lopey cams. and I'm satisfied with my buzzy, four speaker system in my '88 Nova, the only aftermarket mod a cheap Wal-Mart CD player that is probably lighter by a few ounces than stock.
