*Just because your car is powerful, doesnt mean that u have a confirmed win... talent and skill are necessary or should i say important... And this needs practice.. and with the extra realism, mistakes can become very costly (thats why theres time trial, practice, free run, use these well).

*Cars, theres FR, FF, MR, 4WD, RR.... all handle differently, so experiment with the different drivetrains, some may lose at high speed corners and win at tight corners, while some have the top speed advantage, which ever the way u like it.

*Tracks, hah some new additions of tracks with the old ones. My personal favourite is the S.S.R normal/reverse.... learning the tracks is very important, cuz if u can master a track even a car at 160hp can beat the heck out of 350hp cars, trust me on that.... a simple way of learning a track is practising using Bspec... use B to run around your chosen track.. until you are happy with the lap times, to make it better have it use SS tires. Now your turn, change your tires to SM's or with lesser grip tires(the harder it is the better u get)... now try to beat the Bspec ghost... its easy but after you beat Bspec ghost comes the MEvsME, try to make new lines as you go, experiment with different speed at corners... and dont fully trust the gear suggest thingy it only acts as a rough guide, dont be afraid when rev reaches its limits, you'll be surprised to see how much time you can chip off because u didnt change to a higher gear....(u can also try using SS or Q tires first and switch to ones with less grip)

*Motivation(music, anime etc.).. ill lets someone else handle this..

umm well... i guess that all i have in my mind, hopefully this hasnt been posted anywhere.. hehe

Experienced GT drivers please add your hints or advice here as well, u know give some Yoda'ish hints for new GTForce users.... May the GTForce be with you...

Brake earlier, you must.

Speaking of brakes, not only use them early but first of all, Don't be afraid to use them! In most arcade video games, brakes are not so important but in GT games you won't win without out using them and using them smartly.

Be mindful, for having a major effect on how your chosen car takes corners, weight transfer does.....

Weight transfer leads to screeches, screeches lead to smoke, smoke leads to sliding, sliding leads to walls or sandpits, walls or sandpits lead to suffering!
I sense great time degradation in sandpits.

Only after the first left/right chicane of Grand Valley reverse has become clear, the path to the darkside of the course will show.

See through (windscreens) we can, be mindful of your chosen view.

Through use of the Driving Force Pro, you are able to become more powerful than you can possibly imagine......

Dont think! Feeeeeeeeel........ oh no, wait, thats Bruce Lee.

The driving force is strong with this one...... :sly:
Well for music i like to listen to some tunes from initial D when i'm drifting and sometimes when i'm doing 2 lap races. during long races i listen to 3 songs from the jukebox Funny little feelin, Panama and roll over DJ.
As i have Preached before make B-spec bob better by practicing with him, this also aviods lame "ooooh b-spec lost the 24h races because i'm a n00b" posts.

Turn off ASM + TCS from the beginning, it may be more difficult but it will make you hella faster later in the game. And If you buy a racing wing, Please remember to set it to actually generate downforce

The best advice i've read (aside from brake early and often) was 'go slow through the slow parts and fast through the fast parts'. It's hard to overcome the arcade mentality at first.

As Duke said, brake early. This ain't NFSU2.

Get familiar with that red toolbox icon on the opening screen when you enter a race.

Turn off ASM, but use TCS as needed. If your car has much power at all, you'll need it.

Turn the damned music completely off and listen to the engine, wind, and tires.

Don't get pissed. Get analytical instead.

Good advice - the music is a distraction. Brake early, TURN early - I amaze myself sometimes when I remember to do that (too used to the GT3 "chuck it in and control" approach).

If you are feeling brave - try manual from the start. I never used to - now I've been caught tryin to change gears when driving my brother's GT4 cars which are auto.

Practise - something I havent done enough of. Hence why I must quit whining about losing races that I "should" be winning.... :dunce: :dunce:

Slow in -> Fast out.

Don't expect to master a track on the first run.

Don't fall into the trap of upgrading everything for every race, look at the competition, find a nice match just the same or a little less and try it stock first.
Upgrade 1 item per time as needed.

You're almost always better than the AI at doing corners (after a little practice).

NOS should be a last resort.

When choosing your line, remember that you'll be faster if you take a shorter path with higher speed.

"Unlearn what you have, you must" to paraphrase everyone's favourite half-metre-high Jedi Knight with only a basic grasp of English. I'm referring to cornering. In the licence tests, I frequently braked hard and accelerated out, the end result being terminal understeer. With the broken line switched on and eventually forgetting my old way, I found that it was so much easier to get out of corners quickly and actaully get the silvers.
