Was poking around in the general settings for racing wheels... something I had missed assuming it was a setup for generic (i.e. non-logitech) wheels.

I'm wondering what settings are people using for their G25/DFP setups? Std, Pro, or Sim mode? Can anyone describe what kind of different experience the setups give, both in terms of tactile response and differences in difficulty? Sim mode seems logical, but I finished offline with Std not knowing this was even an option in the setup menu.

And does anybody use power steering? I'm tempted to turn this on to counteract what I feel is over-force feedback. I used to drive a car without power steering and unless you were driving under 10mph you really wouldn't have to put any effort into the wheel... so the hairpins at Eiger and Suzuka leave me wanting to turn this on to get a more realistic experience. Come to think of it, most of the regular cars in this game would have power steering anyways...

If I'm not mistaken you can't switch between Std Pro and sim with the DFP or G25. It's only for the older wheel that came out during GT3.

I never noticed anything about powersteering

Back in late october last year when I first got the GT5P demo I played around with a lot of the steering settings (power steer etc) and found I didn't like them so since then with my DFP and G25 I have them all off.

Yeah, though you can switch the settings (std, por, sim) but it is pointless as it doesn't effect the DFP or G25, and you will notice the DFP and DFGT shadowed out when fiddling with that setting.

I tried powersteering. It is only an advantage if you have to countersteer very fast. ===> G25
