If there's interest in this series I'll set up a preseason test round. Feel free to make suggestions and if you have any question, feel free to place it here. Hope you can join a series that has everything to be great and just lacks the most important part: YOU

It sounds pretty good to me. I'm not 100% sure I'll end up running this though. ;)

Sounds good to me too. I haven't had a lot of spare time for Gran Turismo. I am willing to try your race. How do you set time penalties?

Good Squire,
As you are participating in the Ring rally, I would be most delighted to join this series if thou wouldst allow!

Hello my friend Fangio.

It's with great pleasure I accept your participation in the Gentlemen's Agreement Series.

The only obstacle to its start is the number of participants. We have (possibly) 4 entries. If a few more GTP fellows decide to participate we can start running this German machines.

I'm thinking of starting it with a minimum 6-8 drivers and it still depends on the car group each driver selects to race. I'll gladly let you know if and when it starts.

Many Thanks :)
Jose

Hey Jose - may I join too ?

Welcome aboard my friend and team-mate in the GTP series :)

Guess I'll have to start thinking of setting up the first round or maybe a pre-season test, if you guys desire it. 👍

I'll join. Can't wait for it to start. As my single race at Le Mans has no interest, I may as well do this and Rally Around The Ring.

Hi. The more the merrier. You're very welcome here 👍

To all interested drivers: I have a few questions I'd like you to help me with. Here goes:

1. How long each round should last? One week? Do you feel it's ok this way or you need more time to submit a race result?

2. In order for you to get to know the car you'll drive throughout the entire season, I'd like to set a pre-season test so you can get used to it and also this way, allow some last entries to join us. Which track should we use? Maybe something different from the city courses??? It's up to you guys. :)

This is it. If you're interested, just reply, stating your name, car and group. I'll get something ready as soon as we start receiving some final entries. You can still change your ride at the end of the pre-season test if you dislike it.

And I think I pretty much covered everything... Any questions, please ask.

Thanks in advance for showing interest in this short race series. :sly: 👍

EDIT: based on a few tests decided to move a few cars from group, otherwise they would be too quick/slow against the rest of the group.

1 week should be alright for each round. The pre-season test could be somewhere like Motegi Short.

Greetings Don Jose,
If mine feeble mind doth understsnd correctly, I shall select my steed from one of the three groups, whereupon I shall attack yon courses with great anger and verve, in an effort to kick sand(so to speak) at my fellow contestants. Verily then! I chooseth the BMW M3 GTR, and await further instructions! The game is afoot! Beware something wicked this way comes!

i'd be interested to join as german cars are my favorite in gt4, but i dislike city tracks a lot :) so this one is not for me. but change the tracks to nice & wide race tracks and i'll join for sure.
funny thing is that my car of choice would also be the csl as that is my all time favorite gt4 car 👍

When I chose this tracks I knew some GTP members wouldn't be interested, but I like a little variety and this allows us to race a few tracks that sometimes are forgotten.

If this series runs according to plan, I'll set up another one, covering the more interesting open tracks!!! :)

Not fond of the penalty thing, but someone is possibly saying that I can't race in traffic. :trouble: Sod it, I'm thinking the very large and yet weildy BMW M5..

Cheers,
Jetboy

Welcome aboard. Nice ride you've chosen :sly:

Come on guys and girls, any more entries? You're to choose the car you like the most, from the list and choose wisely since no equalization will be made between cars. :)

For those who already joined, do you think is sensible to start a series with only 4 drivers??? :scared:

may i join you? i will race the RS4 from G3. i see the test is open i will have a go. when does the proper races start.

Hi and welcome to GAS 👍

I'd like the competition to start on 17th June, when testing session ends. But you guys can suggest a different date if you'd like. :)

the races will last one week then. thats good. cant wait

Yap, that's it. BTW, sorry for the thumbs down in the previous post. Corrected now!!! :nervous:

Looking forward to get this series started and have fun with you guys!!! Thanks for your interest!!!

I'd say launch in another week, on the 24th. Four Racers starting a series never goes well... Especially when a series loses roughly 40-75% of the proposed sign-ees. :nervous: Give it some more time. When you have somewhere near 8-12 people ready to go, then would be optimum. I will warn you, however... The short race series forum doesn't generate many people as a default. :( I hope we get some real hardcore racers in here... I also suggest PM'ing people for interest, as you did before. I recruited Smallhorses and TheCracker, for instance. Go outside what you normally would recruit. Like all of us in my series.

Just some small tips. ;)

Most appreciated suggestions. I shall extend the deadline of the testing session and wait for a few more racers to join. I thank you all the feedback I can get and tips for a successful series. 👍

I've also left an invitational post at the Long Road to No Where thread!!! I'll address a few invitations via PM to other members.

Thanks Jetboy :sly:

EDIT: and how about Group1 and Group2 cars? No one's interested??? Guess I'll keep the Group3 with the most interesting cars only!!!

Hey, no problem. 👍 I'm talking from (bad) experiences organizing series that failed because they were premature for all of the reasons I listed above. ;) Like I said, get out and recruit... Look for some blokes in the WRS. :D

Cheers,
Jetboy

I'll give the series a go, just because it's fairly short and won't conflict with my drive in the DTM season, throw me in the G2 BMW Z4.
