Gentlemen's Agreement Series

Round 1: Clubman Stage Route 5 (7 laps)

Deadline: 25 June 2007 @ 23:59 GMT

Car Settings
  • Power: +20%
  • Weight: -10%
  • Tires: Sports
  • TCS: ON or OFF
  • ASM: OFF

Rules

  • Standard Online Racing Rules apply.
  • No Cheating, Hybrids, or anything similar.
  • Run the car according to the mentioned settings (power and weight).
  • Try and keep two wheels on the road at all times. No shortcuts.
  • No wall-riding. It slows you down.

Clubman Stage Route 5 :: Race Settings

  • 7 Laps Race (Arcade Mode/Single Race);
  • You can select this tire compounds: S1, S2 or S3 (any combo also allowed);
  • AI will start with same tire compound as you;
  • Set tire wear to STRONG;
  • Set penalty to SPEED LIMITER;
  • You can discuss best laps to minutes and seconds, like this example: 1'05.xxx;
  • Send me a private message with your total time and best lap time.

Round 1 Results

All points recalculated. Sorry daddy-o, but since you've changed cars I can't mantain any of the points you've granted in this round (G3 and G2). I had to be fair with all the other racers that used the correct car for each group. Hope you understand this measure.​

Hi RACECAR. You can choose one car from each group, but it's not mandatory that you participate in every single group. :)

Glad you can join us, just in time for Round 1 :sly:
 
I'm gettin' my Z-wagen. :D

EDIT:

My best lap time so far - 1'02.xxx, G2 BMW Z4, Front S3 Tires, Rear S2 Tires.
 
not bad i am doing 1'01.??? in the M Coupe G2 and 58.??? in the M3 CSL in G3 i think i can still improve on my consistancy and overall lap times i reckon.

G1 - BMW 120d 1'03.xxx
G2 - BMW 330i 1'00.xxx
G3 - BMW M3 CSL 56.xxx
 
im confident so far, i had some good runs

my best laps:
g3 - bmw m3 csl - 0:55,xxx
g2 - bmw 330i - 1:00,xxx 👍
 
G1: 1'04.XXX-->2002 has tons of grip
G2: '58.XXX-->M-B Kicks some tail
G3: 1'00.XXX-->AUDI RS4, I forgot that it is the Avant version. Wagons ho!

Running out of energy for this for a while. I will finalize and post tommorrow morning.
 
Well, I have one of my two races done (The G3 M5) and...I think that's all I'll be able to turn in. Yesterday I suffered second degree burns on my right palm at work...and I'm more than sure I won't be able to race for a while. :( Sorry gents. Jose, I'll send my stuff to you tonight.

anyway i managed to run with my 330i right under 1 minute and i am confident with both times (g2 and g3). i dont think i can do any better :) gonna pm times now...

I've received your times, everything is by the books :)

I've also received times from: gz, SERGE.DENAYER, RACECAR and Avery GT. 👍

Can I suggest a Weight Reward System to offer a bit more parity in G3? I think it would make things a little more interesting if the winning car in each class has to put on some increment of weight until they are pulled down to the level of mere mortals. Of course I say this not even knowing the outcomes yet...Anyway just a suggestion.

i would agree with daddy-o. it will make it more intresting. i thought may be a few normal tracks instead of street all the time. make it fairer between the cars. like more nimble ones M3 and power like the RS6. just suggestions. did you recieve my times azevedojose?

Right and the American Speed Series. They call it R.E.W.A.R.D.S. and winners carry a few extra kilos in ballast. It could work. I drove that bloody awful RS4 and I know that it can't compete with the 330i...that is without a bit of help.
 
Well, almost at the end of the first round and I'm starting to receive some odd results. For example, daddy-o you were much faster in Group2 than Group3. Correct me if I'm wrong, but in Group2 you're driving the SL600 (R129) right? And in Group3 you're driving the Audi RS4?

When I've run my tests, the Audi was a lot quicker than this SL600, for instance. :crazy:

About weight rewards, do you agree with something along this:

1st place - -5% weight instead of -10%weight
2nd place - -6% weight...
3rd place - -7% weight...
and so on...

This way, first 5 places would get a weight reward. This should balance things a bit. Let me know what you think so I can implement it before Round 2 starts.

At first I thought I was suppose to drive the AMG version that appeared on my Arcade garage choices, but it was far and away faster so I went to the GT Mode and pusrchased the SL600 so that it would appear in the Arcade side et voila... I nly have the wagon version of the RS4, does it come in sedan form in the game?

I say implement the rewards weight and let's move on to round two. I may drop the AUDI though, but the SL600 rocks.

Are you driving the R230 or R129 SL600??? Be careful since they're really different and are placed in different groups in this series!!!

The Audi RS4 is only available as a wagon. There's two S4's though... one in G1 and the recent one in G2.

I'll see the weight difference that 5% adds and I'll see if that's probably enough! 👍

EDIT: I've received everyone's times, except Fangio.

EDIT2: Results will be up in a few moments. I'll PM Fangio, so I can get his times in. Hope no one minds if he can send his times, even after deadline. :)
 
Results are up!!! Unfortunately Fangio didn't submit any times and daddy-o still has to confirm if he's using the right car for G2. If not, points will be recalculated.

I'll be posting the Round 2 thread when all this issues are clear, due to weight penalties being implemented in the next round and to avoid any misunderstandings. 👍

Hope you all are happy with the way I'm running this series, since it's my first, I might make a few mistakes. Sorry for my inexperience. :scared:
 
Okay, I goofed up! I ran the SL600(R230) and I will be forever sorry...Now if there is no objection, I would Like to drive the BMW M3 GTR in the G3 class. If you would rather me disqualify myself for my rules infraction, I will concentrate merely on my G1 car. At any rate I don't want the AUDI, I would rather take a stick in the eye! Here is the line up that I would like, good and gratious gentlemen:

G1--BMW 2002turbo
G2--BMW 330i
G3--BMW M3 GTR

I am at your mercies, sirs.

wow i am kinda surprised for the result, didnt really expect this. What tires did you use guys? i was on S3s both front and rear. Looking forward to next race! 👍

edit: i think as daddy-o used G3 car, his time should be clasified in that category. just my idea...but because he used that Audi for G3, he shouldnt recieve points for this run

Well, seems I have some work to do :crazy:

Since daddy-o used the wrong car, I can't count his times for G2. The least I could do is to transfer his G2 times to G3, if no one minds... This way dady-o you'd have to keep the Merc for G3 and drop the Audi.

daddy-o requested me to use the 330i in G2. This way you won't receive any points for the first round in G2.

Results are in the 2nd post. I've recalculated all the points awarded in this round. Hope everything is ok now. I had to be fair with all the other drivers who played by the rules, so I can't keep daddy-o's points in G2 and G3. I'm sorry, but has someone brought to my attention, "rules are rules". Hope you all understand this measure.

Round 2 thread is up. Read the rules carefully, please. 👍

Thanks Gents! Rules are rules and fair is fair. I hope to redeem myself in round deux.

EDIT*I will keep the M-B SL600(R230) for G3.
