Like I said before, I don’t think there is a better lyricist out there than Germaine 'Canibus' Williams. In my opinion, there is no better rapper than Canibus either. He doesn’t rap like your usual rappers. There is nothing about “bling bling” or anything in here. He is crazy; by the way, some of his materials are so hard to understand. Not that he raps fast but …. Check out some of his song to understand what I am talking about.

"Deception" is an interesting song. I still think rap is trying to be too powerful instead of just having fun making music. Not all music has to change the world. Sometimes it's nice to just hang out and listen to a guy sing. "Canibus" is alright. He needs to get someone else to write the music for his lyrics though.

Write the music for his lyrics? You mean the beat? Yeah. I told you they are re-mixes. I can’t find the original one online, I wasn’t going to search.

As for his lyrics being too “powerful”, it is. He can put out music to just “hang-out” but then it wouldn’t be Canibus. It would be your average clubbing rap songs.

Canibus > Lil Jon, :lol: Everyone > Lil Jon.
 
Well I'm not big on the rap scene so I really am not a good judge.

I tend to refer to the instruments in song recordings as the "music" and the vocals as the "lyrics", or vocals. But whatever.
 
I like Canibus, I have his album Rip the Jacker. I heard his others as well... but I just can't listen through any of his other albums without skipping lots of songs. Listening to him for a long time gives me a headache too.... I prefer Chino XL, unfortunately he seems to be releasing only one album every 5 years. :(
