Have been looking to buy the M3 GTR Race Car 01. But I don't want to waste money. Is it worth buying this vehicle? I'd prefer to buy a car to win the race and then keep using it, but is it possible to tune the M3 and to what degree?

I'd prefer an Audi but I just want to get the race over with so i can get my ticket.

I used the Lexus IS-F Racing Concept. I really enjoy driving this car.

I'd actually like that one too. Can you get it from a certain racing series? Or just buy it from UCD

That one is in the premium dealership. I used a CLK Touring Car and upgraded it. Although it "only" had about 650 HP it won very easily. So your M3 GTR should work fine as long as it is allowed in the race.

It is in the Lexus Dealership. I personally bought the Audi TT touring car, but that was just so I could B-Spec the German car race with it.

The M3 GTR is a really good car. It is a little underpowered at GTC but its a great challenge, definitely winnable.

I didn't tune it at all, leave it stock, it is very well balanced.

The M3 GTR is a very fun car and it can definitely win the races; I've done it.

Accidently entered race in B-spec and it disappeared from UCD.. :banghead:

I just know I will never see that car again now. Bought the Lexus instead, not bad I must say.

Lexus ISF is a good car, plus it looks awsome.

I can send you one in a couple of days.

Thanks. Don't know if I'll take you up on your offer though. Only needed the car to win A and B-spec GTC. Lexus is doin great.

Audi TT touring car will give you a easy win in a-spec if you're an average driver.

i used the Opel Astra (Opel Team Phoenix) good all round car.

m3 gtr is a great car, no collection is complete without it

that car is absolutely awesome, bit light though once you want precision steering done coming out of a drift, tends to spin out if you dont look out.

A4 Touring was what I used.

Even without an oil change it was still a good car. Haven't tried the CLK yet, but I can vouch for the A4 being absolutely great, plus it's got a tad of exit oversteer, making it quite fun to drive an on the more twisty tracks.

To put it bluntly, even a mediocre driver can probably win the A-spec DTM events with ANY of the DTM cars. They're not that difficult. Bob might need a turbo upgrade though--no matter what he drives. But out of the box, without any changes the M3 GTR is probably the quickest of the lot.

Ditto on the IS-F racecar in the new car dealership. Car is a beast and fun to use.

On a side note, in the Cape Ring race in this series (B-spec, level 18 or 19 at the time), I had to tell my Bob to "pace down" after the 1st hard left. Even if he's way ahead of the pack, he seems to spin out on that turn with this car. I dunno why.

I used the ABT TTR. It's a brilliant car. I've used this car a lot (also because the DTM races are good grinding races - especially in B-Spec - until you hit the higher payout events).

Good thing about the TTR is that you can just give it to Bob and he'll win without you having to babysit him.

Also: I could never see myself use a Japanese car for the DTM and feel good about it.

The 190E 2.5-16 should be a good challenge.

I did it in the opel astra touring car, no tuning:) But then my ps3 got YLOD and i had to start gt5 all over again:( The second time i used the Audi A4 touring car, no tuning:) Wanted a little challenge but i won pretty easy with both:P

How do you use the Lexus IS-F Concept as it is a Japanese car?

I beat the whole thing with that Audi TT ABT Touring Car or whatever it's called. I even kept it stock to make it more exciting, and I still easily beat them all. But I made a mistake on the Cape Ring race on the last lap, so I just strapped on a bigger turbo and got it up to 560hp (up from 463) and murdered everything just to get the race over with.

If I can beat everything with that TT stock, you should be able to as well

Yes, i seems odd and very contradicting but if you check what cars are availble for use, it states the IS-F racecar as one of the cars you're able to use.

I chose the IS-F racecar cause its a Premium, its looks nice and I have a thing for Lexus (since I own one).

Lol, there are threads dedicated to this filled with trolls trolling trolls. I mean pages and pages of lol.

Me and my Bob used a stock Mercedes CLK DTM, won quite easily. I also have the Lexus, but I hate it. Awesome to look at, but it feels so heavy and lazy to drive(350kg heavier, and you can definitely feel it with a wheel) . Sits unused in my garage most of the time
