Our sweet Lena won the EUrovision song contest 2010...I am quiet proud on her...because for those who don't know: She is not a professional singer...she got through a casting show, won it and so got to oslo...
like rocky came from the ghetto and knocked them all down...

The contest sucks, the music there sucks, but she has at least character and is unique, her song doesn't sound like a copy from something else and she and Stefan Raab (German comedian, who was one of the main reasons why she was there) definitely deserved it.

Here's the English Wikipedia article: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lena_Meyer-Landrut

This contest has been a joke for years. I'd like to see the actual voting results for each country instead of all countries voting for their neighbors. Oh and the German song was a joke as well.

though some countries still vote for their neighbours this definitely doesn't turn the balance if you really think about it...
I mean greece gives 12 to cypruss and the other way round...but none of them won...
in the end it is quiet a democratic vote...

your oppinion about lenas song is ok...

but I ask me: when you think that contest has ebeen a joke for years why you obviously keep watching?

but: no hard feeling!

Can we have 2011 Eurovision in the Nürburgring, with extra points to the people who makes the best times around the Nordschleife?

This. I find that the music entered into these contests never reflects the countries taste, or what the public buy. The countries voting for friends is also very true. I must admit, the only reason I watch the Eurovision is because the commentator (well atleast in the UK) is usually brilliant at taking the mikey out of the other contestants. He turns a boring show into quite a interesting one.
