Get a F1 car for completing Arcade Mode in Professional?

Hi all,

I read some time ago (I wish I could remember where) that you can get a F1 car if you complete all races in Arcade Mode at Professional Level. I forget which car it was, but it definitely had the "F0***" type naming convention, so I am assuming that it was not just made up. I wish I could remember which site it was on, in case someone else has seen it. Anyway, can you win a F1 car for completing Arcade Mode at Professional level, and if you can, is it in your garage, or can you only play it when selecting the unlocked cars from Arcade Mode?

By the way, and just out of interest, does anyone know if the F1 cars are making a comeback in GT4? Also, when you play these F1 cars in GT3, can you see your driver (or the driver's head) on the replay? I've never seen them (the cars), and wasn't even sure I believed that they were even in the game until I saw them on this site, so I am quite curious about them.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Cheers,

Erik :)

hello drikgt4. welcome to GTP!

no, you DO NOT get F1 car when you complete the acrade mode.
i don't think you get ANY cars in your garage if you complete something in arcade mod.

please check http://gtplanet.net/index.php?categoryid=15

and yesthey have F1 cars available in GT4.

search next time 👍

Thanks for the link, however, I already have been there. In essence, I did search, and I have also been searching for the article that I found a few weeks ago as well.

Normally in Arcade Mode, you do NOT get any cars in your garage; you only get more cars that are unlocked for use only in Arcade Mode. BUT, and I shall use this as an example of what I mean, if you do manage to win all the Time Attack races in Arcade Mode, you win a Panoz Esperante GT-1, which you would have noticed in the Prize Cars section (under Miscellaneous) to which you have provided a link. So, by completing that challenge in Arcade Mode, you DO get a car delivered to your garage. Therefore, it is not entirely implausible that you could possibly win a car by completing Professional Level in Arcade Mode, as I believe that completing Arcade Mode does count toward 100% game completion, as does completing Time Attack.

So, if anyone has heard of this, or can refute it with absolute CERTAINTY, then I would like to hear from you. By the way, how many people have actually completed 100% of the game? Just curious. :)

Thanks for the welcome! :)

"Many" (to answer your last question).

In arcade mode you only get a car for your simulation mode garage when you complete the Time Trial (or Time Attack, depending on your version) races. Gold all 10 and you get a Panoz Esperante GTR-1. As you mentioned.

You do not get anything for completing any Arcade Mode race at "Professional". Try racing the first six races in "Professional" - you'll notice that you don't unlock the next six races and, if you check your Arcade Mode progress meter you'll have made NO progress and for good measure, your Simulation Mode garage will show 0.0%.

Oh, and "Yes" and "Yes" to your other two F1 questions.

Thanks Famine,

I take it that "yes" and "yes" were in response to F1 cars being present in GT4, and being able to see the driver in the F1 car during the replays even in GT3. Thank you for the information.

Although Professional Arcade Mode is easy to beat if you are using a rally car, I wouldn't bother trying to complete it if there's nothing to be gained by doing so. I will only use it for practice and fun.

>>To Famine:

In addition, and as you mentioned in your reply, I did try clearing a whole stage (Stage F) to see if a car was revealed, and there was none. However, the information I read about getting a F1 car for completing Professional Arcade Mode involved totally completing Arcade Mode in Professional (all stages) before getting said car. I, too, had my doubts about it, though, and it's a real bugger trying to keep track of where you are, since your results don't show in "Clear Status."

Anyway, thanks again for the info.

It's strange, but now that GT4 is a mere couple of weeks away, I have a burning desire to complete as much of GT3 as possible! Probably because once GT4 gets here, I won't want to play anything else! :D

Best of luck to everyone!
