for $700 i call it a good deal :)

:edit: all the smog equipment has already been removed, including cat converters! :D!!

my plans for the car are:
mariah front lip
paint job
15" wheels
13B swap (street port)
racing beat exhaust
tokico suspension
strip interior
momo wheel/seat
cage

:D

Nice clean car man! Don't worry about the paint though... that can wait... get the performance pieces put in first, then worry about paint later...

 240,000 miles?!?!?!

Wow, what did the previous owner do with the car? Amazing ....

I don't know if you know this, but my parents always warm up the cars in the morning and let it sit for five minutes until the engine is at operating temperature. So far, the cars feel like new! I think it's a good way to keep the car in good condition. Try that :)

well, because of the coolant leak its basically a 1 rotor till the plugs can fire. i just cleaned up the whole car..letting it dry out tonight and ill drive it around tomorrow. need to put gas in it and such... oh and it has manual choke on the carb! like a lawn mower! hehe old school..

naa, after about a minute the other rotor comes to life and its got some kick for its age. but as far as engine work goes, im yanking this one out. i've already got plans to drop in a street ported engine with a waranty...so no worries :D

AW MAN that sucked hehe, i washed the engine but it got soaked and i had to wait an entire day for it to crank over. i stripped out the interior and cleaned it up a bit, air in the tires, gas in the tank. the shift buzzer at 6,500rpm is pretty cool :D im gonna start sanding the little rust spots and scratches out of the body tomorrow as well as primer...i'm probably going to paint it black :) but i'm still debating on staying carburated or going with FI..decisions decisions.

Steam cleaning is the best way to go, I think.

For fuel efficiency, go for FI. Anyways, I don't think there's any difference in the feeling between a FI and a carburator (sp?)

FI looks abit neater under the bonnet aswell
you could get the FI producing the same, and then more than the carby anyway

here's the best pic i've taken of the car. the best $700 i ever spent!

i stripped the rear half of the interior, 2 of the 6" speakers back there were blown, so i threw em out. im still looking for how to modify the headlights to do sleepy eyes on this car...you'll see a lot more mods once my prelude sells HEHE :p

Sweet deal, i own a fc3s with the 13b n/a its the most reliable car ive ever owned :)

have fun with that 7 ;) and join the CLUB

Don't you love that? I love the jaw-drop expression, it's priceless. Bonus points if you can get them to laugh as you pass them! I guess there's a video going around locally (I've never seen it) that shows me racing an RX-7 on the freeway. I barely beat him out but we got up to about 120 before I backed off and he was right on my tail the whole time, and we were both still accelerating hard. I could tell it was fairly close to stock too. Those things are quick!

i've been 143 in my honda :D but it ain't a civic...the rx-7 has half the horsepower, but it's a lot more fun to drive! with the street port engine i'm getting the rx-7 won't have much less hp than the lude...maybe it will even have a tad more :p
