Getting bored now...

I've had my GT-Life screen just sitting there open for about an hour now. I'm bored and there's not enough to do in the game.

I'm on A-spec level 30 and B-spec level 26. The grinding phase.

I have 250 cars - basically all the cars I want, I've got. If I want other's, it's too easy to clone and trade for them.

I've tuned, set-up and painted them all how I want.

I honestly don't know what to do now. It's times like this I wish there was a livery editor and store room where I could play the game without just always racing. I'd happily sit here on my Sunday evening and create a replica livery, put it on some cars, and sell them online. But I can't. The only option I have is to race again.

Time to turn GT5 off for a few days :indiff:

Aspec Lvl 31, Bspec 29

I was also staring at the screen, untill I decided to buy all RM-able cars, did that, still bored.

So I started Indy 500 Bspec, with one driver. and then I did it again. and after that, another...
 
Yeah they've made GT5 boring past the lvl 30 mark. Honestly im missing the beginner to extreme halls now, actually quite fun.

Haha, did the same thing. Did the Tuscan, Cappuccino, both Elises, DC5. Ran out of money but couldn't be bothered to bspec it to get more. I find myself going online a lot and just drag racing against others on the Top Gear Test track.
 
I'm at level 32 A-spec and 36 B-spec. I'm just going through and collecting all the trophies at this point. I've driven every track until I'm pretty much sick of them all. I've got 300 cars and don't have much ambition to buy more - I've already got quite a few I haven't even driven yet. I really wish the missing tracks from GT4 were there.

Oh well, Dead Space 2 is coming out Tuesday :D

Only got half way through Dead Space 1. Might have to dig it out. Either that or download the Vietnam pack for Battlefield BC2.

I guess I'm just disppointed. I was expecting GT5 to be the only game I have in my PS3 for at least 6 months. But here I am after just 10 weeks, bored and looking for something more.

Main account: a-spec 33/ b-spec 21. Over 300 cars, 20m credits
2nd account: a-spec 29/b-spec 16. Over 200 cars, 19m credits.
I've got pretty much every unique car that i've wanted, only a few colored versions left for X1/Furai.
Both accounts has all licenses completed (~50 golds on 1st, 25 on 2nd), all special events done and mostly golded (for the 1st account), all a-spec events, except long enduros are done.
Only days when i've played for more than 3 hours were a few days between Xmas and a new year.
So i would say it took me about 100 hours max for both accounts combined. Which makes GT5 a 50 hour long game. So "awesome", especially when i think about ~1 year spent on GT4.
 
I had fun grinding indy for $$. I'm still trying to get my Pagani Zonda C12, but it's taking FOREVER to find it

the lack of online and time trial leaderboards is killing it for me,my freinds just sold his,if they dont come soon mines going to,and i got a steering wheel for it, p####d off
 
DO AN ENDURANCE EVENT

I mean people say doing the endurance events are long and boring but you stared at a menu screen for 1 hour
 
Im not bored with really. Its hurting me more then boring me. I want to race and gold every endurance race and its just brutal getting through the grind to unlock each race. I'm just so close to getting my nurburgring 4hr and just cant wait. Not bored, just anxious really.

Yes I agree but it wouldn't be to bad if there was a save feature.

At least give us the ability to turn off the ps3 and be able to resume where we left off.

After 2 hours my ps3 is so loud my neighbors can hear it and it's 3 years old it can ylod any day now

I think there should be more seasonal events those bring up the xp level so quickly.
 
I'm doing some of the B-spec enduros right now, and I haven't even leveled up enough in A-Spec to do the Sebastien Vettel stuff.

I'm actually thinking about firing up GT4 on my fat PS3 and playing it for a while.
 
I've got a couple ideas for giving the game a bit more interest.

1. PD could give us an online leaderboard for the lowest total time for all the licence tests (combined). I golded some tests my first go, and know I could have gone faster.
I suppose we could do that on GTPlanet: keeping an iexcel spreadsheet wouldn't be too onerous; we could then post and update our times.

2. On GTPlanet, set up a page indicating the lowest power car (or maybe power-to weight) anyone has used to complete an A-Spec race. Then others could use that car, or one close to it, to give themselves a challenge. It could quickly become a list of cars with which it would be impossible to win all but the best drivers. Could be fun though.
