getting cars arcade mode?

how do u get the locked cars in arcade mode? i beat area a and b but i didn't get anything do i have to beat it in easy mode too to get the cars? if i do need to beat the easy tracks too do i need to also beat the normal tracks again to unlock the cars?

p.s. You have to beat all the races at HARD... the easy and normal do not mean a damn thing.. Just do HARD.. If you beat hard, it will count towards easy and normal
 
Just beat hard, nothing else matters, hard is the key to unlocking the door.
