Hi everyone, Please pardon the name, my brother made it because I didn't know how to get one. But anyway, Im getting GT3 for Xmas, And I'm wondering, just how good is it? Will it keep me busy for a while? And is it possible to do stuff like lower the cars a nd place rims on them?
Will I need to buy any accesories such as controllers, exp packs or anything?
If you have any info and any extra tips or anything pls lemme know!

Please yall, reply and let me know something!!

Have a read through the GT3 forums - everything you need to know will be there...

There's some good FAQs to work through - that'll get you started!

Firstly, Welcome to GTPlanet.

Your question "How good is it?" is a strange one to ask in a forum like this, since people who have the game and want to talk to it are all going to be of the opinion that it absolutely rocks. Which it does.

All you need to play GT3 is a PS2, the game, a TV, and a memory card.

After that, you need a lot of time, cos GT3 will eat away at you and all you'll want to do is play it. Everything else in your life will become an interruption, you won't sleep, you'll drift off thinking about your braking for the downhill right-hand hairpin that is Grand Valley Speedway's turn five, or you'll be wondering how a GT-One gets air just when you need to start braking for The Corkscrew at Laguna Seca.

Then you'll come back to the forum using your work internet connection, and you'll vote on random things like how often you change your oil, and do you buy special wheels (of which, to answer another of your questions, there are lots). And you'll read the serious articles, the ranting articles, and the funny ones (like The Book of 787).

It's funky, the lot of it.

Welcome to GTPlanet!!!

Its a great game, and will keep you busy for awhile...

If you have any questions once you have, keep them coming on this board... Good luck!!

Thanks to all of you for replying, I'm really anticipating this game now.
But I still would like to know if you can lower the cars?
It's no big deal Ijust think that would be interesting.

No actually, I do not know if you can lower your cars or not. You have about 10 different shops you can buy rims from and they all look pretty cool. The game at www.ign.com rates a 9.8 out of 10. That is a very hard score to come by. If your going to be getting it for x-mas you should be happy to know that for $26 you can buy the GT Concept pack. It includes lots of Concept cars that can be added to the game. This more than likely the first add to the game and you should expect more. Any more questions?

By the way......

Sure can! The performance suspensions all lower your car, and the full racing setup gives you a wide range of ride height.

So far the lowest car award goes to the M-B CLK Touring Car. That can go as low as 45 mm!
