Hey people, I already had a Fanatec Porsche Turbo S with clubsport pedals on my other rig. The Visionracer has that stainless pedal deck and I wanted to mount either a set of G27 pedals and the awesome G27 conversion kit with Perfect pedal http://www.sim-sport.net/sr-1-chass...lypage_images.tpl&product_id=37&category_id=2.

Or the Fanatec CSR elite pedals.

My question is this. I know the G27 pedals can be taken out of their plastic case and mounted like the link I showed. I love this! Will these pedals work with my Fanatec wheel with the perfect pedal mod?

Second part of my question. Can the CSR elite pedals be taken out of that ugly plastic casing and mounted just like the G27's above?

Any help is appreciated. I'm basically trying to find a set of full metal or Metal and plastic pedals that look all metal and will mesh nicely with the chrome VR3. I want it to look exposed and mechanical.

thanks guys!

Go with a loadcell whatever you choose.

Yes you can do the same with Fanatec´s Elite pedals from what i´ve seen.

Yeah, more than likely going with a set of G27s taken out of their plastic housing and mounted onto the VR3 with the perfect pedal mod.

Unless you didnt like them for some reason I'd do Clubsport Pedals myself. Fanatec has a good deal right now where they are throwing in a free tuning kit with purchase.

I already have the Clubsports. :) I'm looking for something different for this rig. The Clubsports are hard mounted to my other rig, they're awesome. I just always wanted to hard mount G27 pedals with the perfect pedal. Plus I would need an adapter plate for the VR3 since the clubsports are so wide. I won't need that with the G27 pedals out of the plastic case.

I'll post pics when I'm done.

The only thing that I foresee is you'll find the G27 pedals possibly disappointing after having CSPs. I had a complete G25 set before my Fanatec set......I liked the G25 pedals while I had them.....then quickly forgot all about them once I got CSPs. The CSPs are substantially better feeling than the G pedals and there's no contest between the brake pedals on the two.

I think the CSR Elite pedals should feel close to the CSP if you're considering they look like they take up a smaller footprint and hardware wise from a function standpoint the only real difference seems to be the gas and clutch which use pots instead of magnetic sensors......it shares a load cell like its big brother CSPs.......plus they have some adjustability in spring tensions that the G27s dont

I'm not 100% sure on that one but I seem to recall the guys on InsideSimRacingTV during their Forza special and I remember they showed the base of the CSR Elites and how the "brain" for the pedals was modular and could be removed from the base for rig mounting. They mentioned the pedals could be disassembled from the base to mount them the way you're looking to do.

Edit: I just went on the product page for the pedals and in the features list and touts them as being able to remove the pedals from the base to custom mount them in a cockpit.

They are not going to be mounted upside down. I am mounting them to the SimSport adjustable pedal mount, and then mounting that to the VR3. I already have my Perfect pedal, and new Gas and Clutch springs. We'll see how it goes. If I dont like it I'll just ebay it and put my Clubsports in it. But for now I want to play with the perfect pedal and custom clutch and gas springs.
