Getting 'Our hood is under attack' in SF.

CosmicOk guys...I just got this message middle of SF during running of SF's streets.
Have this ever happened to you?
I'm still in SF , do you guys know of I can fly there and attack them and kill them before they took it over?
I've never had that happen-- I don't know how much time the game gives you to repel the attack.
I would ignore or take over all territories bordering yours (or all territories period) so you don't get the message

I have a question, I have finished the storyline, and am back to doing the little side missions, as per my stats, I have like 96.4% of territories taken over, ( or something very close to that ) and cannot find where the hell the other territories are !! I keep getting attacked at one location over and over again ! HELP ME !!!! ( no red or yellow left on map, and its the Ballas that keep attacking that one place )

Also, sometimes when you fail taking over a territory on the third wave, the territory can become almost completely transparent and hardly any of the other gang will be there. I still have one like this. You won't get attacked on any of your surrounding territories, either. They are just redundant territories.
Cosmic -- There's a common glitch where if you go out to a certain area at sea and drown, when you get back to land, territories will be placed all over San Fierro and sometimes Las Venturas. There's been a lot of talk on this before. Have you drowned at all?
TwinTurboJay -- There's no other "outsider" territories than the Boat School that you have to take over, although if you get this glitch, that gives you more. The glitch territories aren't essential, and don't show up in your stats.

If you still have territories controlled by the Ballas or Vagos that are 'bordering' your territories you will still get attacked whever you are, it just happens less often when you're 'out of town'. Just take over every territory that borders OGF territory and you will no longer be atttacked.CosmicOk guys...I just got this message middle of SF during running of SF's streets.

I've taken over every territory except the boat school (which I just heard about), and the neighbourhood where you get your first tag* (on the mission).
The Ballas will still randomly attack the gas station north of the canal (has a carwash, and a broadway parked behind it). Even if they still sort-of controlled the 'clear' territory, the gas station is one or two territorys away from that.
-Tiny territorys: Remember that sidewalk around the Vinewood area? That was kind of funny. Really hard to start gang wars in, too.
*The last wave spawned in a few blocks north, over the bridge, and got stuck. That was the first time it happened to me so I just tried to snipe them from as far away as possible. It took me too long though, so the game said I ran off and I haven't been able to start a war in that area again.

This has happened to me ton of times. If Im trying to accomplish something like on my way to pick up a girlfriend, I just restart, or if Im not doing anything, I just save the game and you still have the "hood"CosmicOk guys...I just got this message middle of SF during running of SF's streets.

Ive got a problem, i have 98.4% taken over, but i have this little bit that i can barely stand in but it doesnt spawn any ballas. I also have the boat school part but thats already been taken over even though i didnt take it over?!? Any ideas on how to deal with the last bit. Its on the top right corner of temple near mullholland.

Do you get to take over territory even after SF and LV? Because I'm in Los Santos now after I completed all the main story missions over in SF and LV. I know this because no main story missions are available and I havent gotten any phone calls. So I'm here on the porch of the Johnson's House popping off Ballas with my M4.

yeah the last main story mission chain will open and all of your territorys will be taken over and you will have to start again. This is when all LV, SF missions are done and you Return to LS, i think its when the riot starts.

Its tough to get them to spawn there, I just kept walking back and forth in front of the store there (on the sidewalk) and eventually when I turned around, there were some ballas there to shoot at-- also keep an eye out for them in cars-- I forget if you have to be in the territory to start the gang war or if they do-- I'd pull the driver out and try to get him to follow you up on the sidewalk--
Regarding blackbirds question---You don't have to take over territories (I don't think) but its something to do-- I thought you automatically get the territory back on grove street when you return????

I've had a similar problem with getting all the territories (until i read here about the boat school gangs - cheers guys) - the map showed, or seemed to show all green, but the ballas territory just south of the Los Santos rail station - where the 'our hood is under attack' seems to break out alot, showed on my map as green, a paler green, but had both the Green Grove Street gangs and the Yellow ballas gangs living together in perfect harmony! ...until i took out the ballas

Once you return to Los Santos and start taking over territory again, it's possible to get those missions when you're outside Los Santos. They used to annoy me a lot when I was mucking around in San Fierro.CARLOVER96
I conquered all the territory, only because it was annoying me so much. Otherwise I would have liked to leave it as Ballas territory so I have somewhere to go slaughter enemy gang members.
I was dissappointed in the gang wars because they were all so boring and repetitive. Start gang war, arm AK47 or M16, shoot advancing gang members for 10 minutes until the territory is yours. Repeat 50 times until you have all the territory.

What's all this stuff about a boat school gang? I've been to the boat school in SF and haven't noticed anything, or any gang members for that matter. Might it have something to do with the fact I'm playing it on X-Box?
Also, it says I have all 54 territories taken over, yet I still get attacked all the time near the LS docks/industrial area of LS.

That just happened to me yesterday when i was in LV!!!!! It was very weird because its never happened to me before.

Try and find some cars with ballas in it and get infront of the car and shoot the windsceen where their heads are. It shoud be easier to find 3 cars than a group.

On PS2, I never once got a message while outside L.S. However, on the XBox I constantly get it while in L.V.

OMG- that happens to me too like half an hour after I've stolen a Hydra! (after I've blown up all of my own planes and helicopters...actually, what happened to my Leviathan? - refer to glitches thread then)
Is there anything you can do to try and cut down the amount of territory attacks? My territory near the docks is always under attack and it says i have all 54 territories.

There`s probably nothing you can do about it. 
Since I`m usually in the Rhino when the message occurs, I toggle on the vigilante mission then immediately toggle it back off, & the message goes away. Not sure if this has a negative effect, though.
