Now, is there a way to get replay videos from your PS3 to your PC? I have tried multiple times, but all I keep getting are .DAT files, or .0-.9 files :\
You could if you
had replay videos on your PS3..., but you
don't. You have a file, but not a video. The file saved on your PS3 is not
any video format, but rather is a set of game data that the GT5 game engine can use to render replays in real-time.
This is why you can view a replay "video" and still move around in full 3D when you choose to go into the photo mode. If you watch a YouTube video, there is no way on Earth that any program anywhere could enable you to explore the location within that video in 3D, but you
can with GT5 replays because they aren't actually videos. Essentially, viewing a replay is no different from when you viewed it during the original race, except that this time you are no longer controlling your car at all, but rather your car's motions are reenacted using a collection of data points.
No program on Earth can convert GT5 replay files into video files viewable in any video software..., except for a program called "Gran Turismo 5" running specifically on the PlayStation 3 hardware for which it was designed (and, hypothetically, on a PC powerful enough to emulate PS3).
