Getting the Hunter

I want to get the Hunter for my airstrip. Am I right in thinking that you need 100% on flight school. Or do you need 100% in the whole game. I am having real trouble with the flight school. Things like the loop the loop. I can do a perfect loop at full speed but I still only get 95%. What am I doing wrong?

And what other spawn locations are there for the Hunter?

You need to get gold (100%) on each test at the air strip for the hunter to spawn there.

Another way to get it is to open up the races that start at the LV airport--I'm not sure at what point these open up-- look for a flag just inside the gate there-- then start the race called "heli hell" which is done in the hunter-- instead of doing the course-- fly to the air strip and fly it into the big hangar and get out-- exit-- after 25 seconds of being out of the vehicle you will fail the race and be transported back to the airport-- when you come back to the hangar, it will still be there.-- I never tried this but maybe this will work, try repeating the test where you fly the hunter and try flying it into the hangar--- this might be a faster way of getting it--- I never tried it.

The hunter also will spawn at the naval base at SF (just inside the fence near the road on the south side-- big H on the ground there) but I honestly don't know at which point it shows up there-- it might be the same as the one at the air strip (100% on all flight test)-- I do know that it was after I got 100% that I finally saw it there, but there never was a message for it that I remember---

Did anyone find it at the naval base before 100%, air races, or golding flight school????

As far as golding the flight test it is pretty hard--- I found the loop and barrel roll ALOT easier after switching to 1st person view when you do these tests--- you can tell your position better IMO and end the loop roll at the proper place.

if you sink a few hours in golding the test there shoulndt be any reason why you cant get it. but another variation of spuds method is to get heli hell then park the hunter right next to where you enter the races, then exit out and you will have the hunter right next to you
 
I tried getting the hunter from the air field test and I got the hangar to open but if the hunter touches the ground, the test ends-- I gave up after 3 tries but if you can get it in there, it should work (in theory).
 
Dquan, you are struggling with the loop the loop because you dont have your plane perfectly in the middle of the corona and it doesnt have its wings level at the end of the test. simple.

Get all golds, they dont take too long, then you will either have a hunter or a leviathan spawn.
If the leviathan spawns, take it to the end of the runway and fly back.
Then you will have a hunter.

It isn't too hard to get 100% in the flight school, just stick at it.

I remember getting the Hydra from doing the race. Also the races are unlocked once you finish the driving school (bronze or better).
 
the hydra is unlocked after you do vertical bird. in tornos mission, i belive
