On my way to work this morning I was behind a woody looking Plymouth Voyager mini van. I am about 10 car lengths away from this thing and notice the stripes arent centered. The left one is right next to the key hole and the right stripe is about 2 inches from it. Then uppon further inspection I realize the racing stripes are electrical tape!!! The stripes run from the front of the van all the way to the rear with black electrical tape. And of course in places it is peeling off and flapping around. I wish I had a camera because I couldnt believe it. He must have used at least 5-10 rolls of tape to do this.

As I said in a previous thread, my last job was creating and installing decals like this. A roll of 6" vinyl (that's what the decals are made of) would set you back around $50, not installed. They more than likely picked up a ten pack of tape for $10 at Home Depot.

Bad call in my opinion.

Wow. Just wow. I guess these are the sorts of people who would put on a cardboard bodykit...
Hey, technically cardboard is another form of carbon-based fiber ;)

But, the Voyager would have been going faster than all the other Voyagers, right?

Those racing stripes provide a good 10-15hp!

I don't even like the factory stripes. Some beautiful Fords like the GT, Mustangs come with them. I'd opt to have them removed. I don't mind looking at them, but I wouldn't want it on my car.
