Ghost car

Is it possible to turn off the ghost car. It is a bit annoying sometimes I have tried but can't find where to turn it off

Press the up directional button if you're using a DS3 with default controls.

Yes. Go to options (not in race) then hit controller options and you can map the "ghost car" option to a button.

I like using the ghost, unless I'm driving too consistently and the ghost car gets in my view then I turn it off.

But can you make it more ghostly? It is too opaque if you are right behind it. I haven't checked the options on GT5, but I vaguely remember GT4 had three different levels of ghost. Could be wrong...
