Ok guys im looking for fast racers to join Ghost chasers. requirements here: =
first of all you will need the following if you have a non modded ps2
1. a copy of GT4 (of course!)
2. an AR MAX EVO edition (Origial Copy From Codejunkies)
3. A USB pen drive
if you do have a modded ps2 contact, the_ghost.
how this works 1. Be online with whatever instant messenger you and your opponent choose before the time you two decide on.
2. The Race Manager (Yes we will be needing one of those!) of the race will then invite both of you into a group chat.
3. The one who was challenged will then get to decide whether to run or chase
4. The runner will then make his run and his desired rolling start speed (this should always be done at the start of 1st lap of practice)
Example: I want to be the runner 1st and i drive a 4wd (let's say an EVO VIII), i want to utilize the 4wds traction so i decide to do a rolling start of only 20 KM/H so i will start to run at 20 KM/H right before the start line and once you pass the start line and time runs it's all out racing!!
5. After that 1 lap run the runner will then upload the saved ghost replay file (i STRESS replay file not video), the chaser will download it and load it up on the same course and start at the same speed that the runner chose and try to chase him down.
6. the chaser must attempt to pass the ghost without hitting it to fully recreate racing ala Initial D. If he passes through it he should let the ghost go 1st again and chase it down at the remainder of the course.
7. The winner will be decided via point system.. 1st to get a 2 point lead wins
Here's how you get the points:
a. if the runner finishes course 1st by 2 seconds or more
b. if chaser passes runner cleanly and finishes lap 1st
8. when you pass the runner cleanly you will need to upload a video of the replay (remind you that you must not finish the lap or the ghost will disappear, a finish close to the starting line is good enough), if you don't have the capabilities to do a video a photo of semi frame by frame pass and a picture of you and ghost at the finish line with you in front (this will require the display style of replay and not the standard replay as we need to see the location of the ghost via map) if you still can't do both then we're just going to have to take your word for it then..

in short its a pre recorded run of your opponents run that you try to cleanly pass. you both decide on an hp cap, start speed etc. this is the closest thing to competing besides x-link, and very fun.
now if your curious here is an example of how ghost chasers really looks.
Round 2 - The Pass
the starting gap.. wasnt huge plus the hp was pretty much the same so i couldnt catch up too much and he couldn't pull away either
same as the 1st pic.. still couldnt find any chances here..
i had an opportunity here by using the rumble strips to get side by side but he still had majority of the lane and the inside for the next corner.. so was not able to make my move..
once again had my chance but wasnt able to fully get ahead due to him swirving to the left to set up for the nex corner.. lost my chance there
the straightaway is here.. i had a faster accelaration here.. don't really know why but must be due to my gearing..
as you can see the gap is shrinking little by little.. this allowed me to make my move..
finally the section where i put 2 wheels in the grass.. you will see this part in the video at the bottom
The Passing manuever
The passing manuever.. after this i just ran a usual lap like always to maintain the lead and win the battle..
Comments: The Trueno was hogging my line so i wasn't able to get a full opportunity to pass him until the straightaway.. which was a braking battle.. which i am glad i came out on top.. then i just ran the course like i usually do to seal the win.. nice race!''
