ghost in time trials

Is it possible to turn the ghost off in online timetrials? cant seem to find it:/ and its pretty annoying might be my tv that makes it to bright or something, but im having problems watching the end of the turn when my ghost is just a tad infront of me.

Press the [up] button when you have passed the start line.

I think its the up button on the Dpad. Thats what i usually use.

Ghost de/activation depends on your own Key Assign, check your wheel/pad options.
