Ghost lap replays

I've noticed that my own ghost doesn't always pop up. It happens randomly. I'll make a clean but slower lap, and it doesn't show, but I could make a dirty as hell lap, and it shows. sometimes it's a fast lap, others it's not. Anybody know why?
 
no, and I noticed that sometimes the lap timer is in red. I understand that when I have a ghost that pops up, but it'll do it before a ghost pops up.

red lap time or red split time, as red lap time means you're disqualified for that lap I think.

It might be buggy as I have had the lap following a crash dq'd as well.

I've only noticed this on some of the license tests, I would have no ghost car (Yes, I know about the up arrow), I would watch the example then my ghost car would be there when I went back to the test.
