Well, Xbox 360 owners have had this time for a while now, but it's the PC's turn now. What this version differs from the 360 version is the use of the physics engine PCI card expansion. Not sure who will use use this, but...the idea is cool and along the lines of a GPU sub processor PCI card blade expansion's I have thought about in the past. Anyways, on to the game.....as it has been said before, looks like Battlefield 2, but that said like it's a bad thing. I beg to differ. The graphics and environment settings so far have been a pleasure to look at. The interface is completely retooled from previous Ghost Recon games that I have played which is refreshing. Not near as cumbersome as I thought it would have been. The physics are pretty good from what I've seen so far. You can shoot windows out, the AI targets react to where bullets hit, and tires on cars even flatten out when hit. Sorry no screen shots yet. I'll try to post some tonight. The only game glitch I have found so far is the audio is screwed up if EAX is enabled. Disabling this fixes the audio issues. Not sure if this is a driver issue on my Audigy4 card or not...not a big deal, not a big fan of EAX anyways.
Also for this release is the compatibility with the Ageia Physix technology which work in conjunction with a Physix Hardware PCI card to take on additional computing load. There are several titles coming out supporting this technology, but GRAW is the first to be available that actually supports it.
As I get through some missions and get some screen shots I'll post a follow up. As of right now I'm pretty excited about this game.
