Giant Realm Network ad

Alright, so just recently in the past few months, when going through the forums, I'll get hit with a almost redirect-ish style ad. I'll explain in a graphic organizerish thing.

Browsing forums --> I click "Cars In General" --> the ad shows up, and on my tab it reads "GIANT REALM NETWORK", requiring me to wait 15 seconds, or hit the skip button to get to where I'm going. If I don't hit skip in time or the ad slows my computer down to the point it doesn't respond(I open like 4 tabs at a time, and if this ad is gonna show up, it happens on all 4 at once) then I get sent back to the GTP home page.

What's up with this? Is it normal?

Yes, these are called "interstitial ads" and they are normal - the part about your computer slowing down is not, however. What specific advertisement is being displayed when your computer slows down? Also, try clearing temporary internet files and your cookies to make sure you've got a fresh batch. There was an issue with these banners appearing more often than they should, but this is resolved if you have the latest cookies.

I honestly haven't paid attention. It's gotten stuck with Axe in the ad, and also with some fighting something or other. Sorry I'm not much help. I'll clear the cookies and see what happens
