I just started GT6 and the notice appeared in Home screen: "You have been awarded a gift car for participating in GT Academy 2013", or similar wording. The car is the GTR NISMO GT3 N24 Schulze Motorsport '13

All those that were expecting to get the car after having entered GT Academy, rejoice!

Sorry about that, guys... I fail to see the reason why a global corporation like Sony/PD does these regionally limited business, especially when it's a free promotion like in this case :confused:

Because of those regional gambling/prize acquisition laws that certain countries set. Blame local governments for preventing participation on some global events.
 
guys are you ****ing serious? you can buy that car for 350,000 Cr. in Dealership :D
 
It won't be as nice as a shiny new free one though.

I can only find solace in the fact that it isn't some special edition car only available through gifting, and thanks to the massive payouts for the recent Hot Laps I have a some cash to spare to get my own.
 
I received mine when the latest seasonals were unlocked. I thought it was for everyone. I was kinda worried because after 1.02 just one guy from AUS had gotten it. But when the seasonals kicked in i got mine.
It's a bit unfair for those who didn't get it, but that is...

Only if you participated or because you did the GT6 demo part? I downloaded GT Academy 2013 a day late and couldn't compete.

I think by 'participating' they mean having entered at least one valid laptime in the GT6 demo events. That's what I did anyway, I was quite busy at the time and could only run a couple of laps in the first time trial. It was like the seasonal TT's in GT5 and GT6 when you complete a valid lap and you get the message that the laptime has been submitted to the online leaderboards.

Same, was a bit of a surprise as I'd given up on getting it so had already bought it :crazy:.

Was going to sell the free one but it doesn't let you :boggled: so I sold the one I bought for around 100k Cr instead.
