videos of the legend
there are videos at the bottom of the page
Famous battle with Rene Arnoux at Dijon in 1979
Villeneuve's fatal wreck. if you look at the debris above the Ferrari right as it tumbles onto the track, you will see a white blur about 5' 5" in height. that was Villeneuve. :( :guilty: :(
good tribute video (LOOK AT THAT CAR CONTROL!!!)

I think Eddie Cheever summed up Gilles entire being perfectly when talking about his last few moments.

"In a situation like that I know I would have been scared stiff. But I am sure that when Gilles felt his Ferrari take off, his last thought was anger, plain and simple, because he knew that he has spoiled that one perfect lap."
-- Eddie Cheever

Salut Gilles. :nervous:

I use this day not to grieve his death but to celebrate his life, to Gilles.

Wow...that crash was horrible to look at.

To Gilles.

I guess on a more happier note, this years Monaco GP will coincide with the 25th anniversary of Gilles legendary win at Monaco in the tank like Ferrari 126ck in 1981. I hope that people still have not forgotten about that day, it is an extremely important milestone. And hopefully Michael Schumacher can win that race for Gilles.

I really hope that the announcers and presenters of our coverage will recognise that. It is unfortunately, unlikely. :(

Amen, fingers crossed that tool James Allen remembers.

Also to Drift260Z, there is a much better tribute on youtube, Ayrton.S' tribute is emotionally drainig to say the least, it is well set out and has some really good music on it (Robbie Williams), do the old switcheroo, I'm sure it would make a difference:) . I have already made 2 tributes for him but I still cant get it right, anyone have any suggestions for some good music to put on. I've already used Coldplay's "Speed of Sound" and Blink 182's "I miss you" (Seemed a good idea at the time). Any suggestions would be much appreciated:) .

I bet some Skynyrd would work, I'm thinking of "Free Bird".

Once more, to Gilles

I'm young, let's face it. And I hate it. I feel like I would've missed all the goods. Group C, Group B, the old F1... the real races at Nürburgring... And watching these good oldtime videos of real men racing in the limit doesn't make my disappointment any easier. I just love it. Though then these videos like Villeneuve's crash, Henri Toivonen's crash, Lauda's crash, Senna's crash, they make me feel like I'm the lucky one. It's horrifying to watch those videos. They make me sad.

Not only to Gilles, but to all of those old school race drivers
