GIMX 6.6

I have a question for those using GIMX and updated to 6.6, am I crazy or did the new update lower the FFB strength?

I was using 6.5 and today I got a message saying that an update was available so I went ahead updated and the FFB felt noticeably weaker than before, I tried both Assetto Corsa and GT Sport and it was the same thing so I went back to 6.5 and the FFB went back up in strength.

I'm using Fanatec CSW V2, CS pedals v3 and CS shifter, Formula rim and Forza rim with XB1 hub with pedals connected via USB if it matters.

Matlo has made some small changes in the FFB code that may result in varying unwanted effects in 6.6. He is still tweaking the code and working to improve it. I urged him to bring out 6.6 due to a bug in 6.5 that caused my Bodnar to stay pulling to the left after closing some games and emulators(ie GT4 on PC). I haven't tested 6.6 yet but will tomorrow. Turn up your FFB strength in the Logitech Profiler if you're finding it too weak.

I get the same bug in 6.5 of the wheel pulling to either side if you press start menu while the wheel is vibrating on going off road. To fix it all I do is come to a complete stop and then press the PS or options menu in PS4 mode.

I had to go back to the 6.5 firmware since I didn't like how weak the FFB felt in 6.6, in 6.5 I'm using 75 strength in the Fanatec CSW V2 base settings, in 6.6 I had to bump it to 100(full) in the base and it was still too weak for my taste.

If you like very strong FFB like I do, get a Bodnar. :D

I wish, I'm mostly a casual console racer and currently I don't have space for a full rig and no way my omega wheel stand could deal with that wheel since it flexes with Fanatec stuff.

I have the money saved already for it and a full setup, just waiting until I get a house next year, that is if I don't use my money on the new PS4 driving gear from Fanatec.

If Fanatec makes a direct drive wheel I will 100% buy that instead of a bodnar since Fanatec have a more beautiful design on their stuff and I have never had major problems with them, we will see what comes out in the next few months
