Alright, so for school I'm doing a powerpoint presentation on photochopping. For this project, I have decided to chop a car. The one problem I'm having is finding a car that I haven't chopped yet to chop. My requirements are that the image is 1024x768 or bigger, and that it's at an ideal photoshop angle (note, most of the cars in highres and supercars won't work, so try to be original). Thanks for your help...
(I had been thinking along the lines of an Aston Martin V8 Vantage)
 
daan, that car would be awesome to chop if you got the right angle on it (I have a few ideas for it, but none of them will work on those angles). My suggestion is to get it so that the car is about 20-50 feet away, zoom the camera so that the car takes up most of the frame, and then you should have a good angle.
 
front 3/4 would be preferable, but just about anything will work from the distance I described...

How is the handling on this beauty? Does it understeer much?

It does a bit but I don't really notice most of the time. I don't drive it fast! ;)
 
The second one has a really good angle; it's just too close to the car to do anything with it...
 
I dunno. Might be good so close. You have to pay extra attention to detail, but you've got the skill to do that Jpec. I say do it.
 
I never liked working at that angle (hard to match cornered parts to...). I'll give it a whirl and see what happens...
 
Interesting result, pretty craply made. The front looks 10X bigger than it should do :odd:

BTW, I don't see what you mean about the carbonfiber, it looks fine from my end.
 
Hey John, good chop, but i know you can do better - what happened man?? The fronts a bit dodgy, but i do like the rims you've used...anyway, who am i to comment - still a very good effort ;) Looking forward to the next one.
 
donbenni that looks awesome.

However the rear spolier has a fringe around it making it look increasingly fake. The car seams to be overly too bright compared to the background, especially the far front corner.

I know I couldn't do this kind of stuff and it looks amazing! Hah, at first I didn't notice those huge wheel arches! The one at the front needs to get darker as it falls back past the wheel like the side body panel gets darker towards the bottom, maybe the back one could do with some similar treatment. Lastly something isn't right where the front arch meets the front spoiler, the front spoiler sticks out a little is this purposeful? - I think it would be better if the arch came to meat that point with a smooth curve.

Otherwise absolitely fantastic how long did you spend on it because it looks like a very, very long time. Massive effort! 👍 I like!
 
Aimed to spend 1 hour on it, but it was more like 1.5 at the end. Yeah i know it could do with some work, and i'll take note of what you said, but there's no need to make it look nicer (unless this is gonna be a comp[?]). Cheers anyways Alpha :D
