This car was built by GKN as a mobile test bed for GKN automotive products. It featured modified Jensen Interceptor FF running gear, a body designed by William Towns (of Aston DBS fame) and a Keith Black built 426 cubic inch hemi motor producing 600bhp. In 1972 it broke the road car record for 0-100-0 mph by no less than 8 seconds!

This fabulous, historic and technically interesting car deserves a lot more votes. The car still exists, but has been sadly neglected as shown in the above photos - hopefully it will be restored to its former glory and seen in public again, perhaps at Goodwood - it would be great to hear that thunderous 7 litre hemi used in anger again.
