Glitches in new patches

Every time a new patch comes out there are always glitches reported in hours. Do PD test these patches before they release it? Hmm. They must, but they always seem to miss a lot of simple errors and it seems with every 1 they fix 2 more pop up. I think they need beta testers or something to resolve glitches before they release it.

There's a few threads here stating what they are. I can't link cause I'm in my phone.
There's the endurance save 1.
TCS tuning sheet 1

Some of it seems to just be mis-interpretations of new features. Spec 2.0 is less than 24 hours old and I'm sure more information will reveal itself soon enough.

The Endurance Save issue is due to entering the pit too fast and in an unrealistic way. However, PD may be able to address this issue. The same thing happened pre-2.0 as Bob would take over your car if you did that.

I read a post where someone could only alter Driving Options when Tuning Sheet 1 was selected (I can't find it at the moment). This may be a bug with the two new tuning sheets.
 
There's an issue with the Consecutive Login Bonus, which doesn't show up altogether for, apparently, those who were running some B-Spec remote races when the servers were shut down for maintenance.

The main resulting issue is that it's then impossible to cash in B-Spec money...

Hopefully it will sort itself out. Note It's the first time an update doesn't run smoothly for me and I'm still smiling... :)
 
Geez that's a bit of bad luck there lol.
I'm sure mire bugs will get reported in time.

Surely the game could have gotten rid of these issues before they released it.

I'm wondering if PD knew about some of these bugs but couldn't fix them in time or slipped there mind or were just plain ignorant. That last 1 I doubt but it's a funny world...
 
That's odd. About one hour after having updated the game, the login bonus was working perfectly for me, 200% bonus. Now, about eighteen hours later, it's not working anymore, and we are still in October 11th.

So, whenever you login for the very first time in a day, does that mean you can't logoff from the game or PSN to keep the bonus multiplier working ???
 
FYI, the Consecutive Login Bonus issue is NOT reproducible on the 2nd day after the update...
 
Man, I don't know what has happened with my game, but after updating it has been freezing up on me almost constantly. The game will just stay stuck at a loading screen. I can hit the ps button and quit the game, so it's not my PS3 that's freezing.

I thought it might have been a smudged disc or something, but no even after I cleaned it, it has still been freezing.
I've gotten one race to work since updating, and it's very frustrating.
None of my other games do this. I wonder if it has something to do with the PS Plus auto update.

Can I delete the update and try to install it again?

It's happening to me too.
I think it's because of the increased volume of people playing after spec 2.0 as the online and offline modes on GT5 are always connected and it's obviously quite busy at the moment slowing the whole game down.

I remember this happening when GT5 first launched.
 
You can use the Jr. Kart and 125 kart in arcade right now. Go to a kart track and they're completely to the right.

As of last night i was able to do any track except for time weather change variations.

It wasn't addressed at you, it was a general FYI, WarriusZero was referring to the issue he himself reported in this thread.

The consecutive bonus login was meant to happen when you login in consecutively DAYS. Not consecutive logins in the same day. The 200% in the first day WAS the glitch itself. Now its working fine. You should have a 10% up when you login tomorow.

I don´t now what happen if you doesn´t turn off your PS3, in many days, but I assume you´ll never find out because your house would be reduced to ashes because of the fire...

I haven't turned my PS3 off in the last couple of days, and I'm still on 200% on my main just like on the first day, and I've been on 200% on my alt since the day after the update. I figured it knew that I was logged in for the last 5 days consecutively. The issue quite a few people seem to be having is the bonus disappears on them, after they've received it on a given day (not the only issue, mind you).

And yeah, the bonus goes missing and back, missing and back, during the same day of the last login. That's what's happening.

Bottom line, if you get 10 MCs and 10 paints when you first log on in a new day, it doesn't matter if it was the first day of the update or not, the game would have already recognized you logged in the day prior, and got the 10/10 MCs/paints by logging in again the very next day (otherwise one would get 9/9 MCs/paints, and not 10/10), which means bonus was already at 200% to some users, and the glitch has nothing to do with "...the first day of the patch", plus, the glitch persists after the first day.
 
Noticed the spec sheet glitch last night,though i had stuffed up and re checked my settings twice. Guess it will be fixed in 2.01,but makes you wonder how it got pass the testers.
 
I want my 200% bonus back and deleting game data isnt an option as I'll lose all my created tracks because PD decided it was wise to not save them separately! :dunce:

The consecutive login bonus seems to disappear if you login, then logout then login a 2nd time later that same day. On the 2nd login you're back to 100% instead of 150% or whatever. If the system already knows I've logged in earlier that day then surely on the 2nd login it should maintain my 150% Cr and XP? what am I supposed to do leave my PS3 on all day while I go to work or go out? Are PD so thick that they think no one uses their PS3 in multiple sessions?

It does that when you duplicate paints too.
 
My save game wont load at all now. It just hangs at the loading screen. Thanks PD.

The 200% bonus is buggy, i have tried both turning off the PS3 and quit the game, it will force 200% bonus disappeared for some reason. and you will only get it back the next day when you log in and you get a message for 10 paint, 10 museum card...and your 200% bonus...etc. But once you turn it off or quit the game and wants to go back in. 200% bonus is gone.

Might not be a 2.0 issue. If you receive a paint from someone else it will be listed separately from one you get yourself in the game even though they are the same colour. If you are sure you got both paints from your game then it would be a new issue.

I received it from the game when I reach 840 cars yesterday...
 
If the bonus isn't showing up today, just do 1 race and log in tomorrow.

I've been at 200% for a few days. I log in and out several times a day.

This is definitely a pre 2.0 issue, as I noticed it since day one after release.

Maybe the game makes a difference between colors that were obtained through purchase of a car and colors that were received as a gift (login bonus, reward for seasonals, ...). :confused:

Just found out another issue, not sure if it's glitches in 2.0 but when I did a seasonal event race and came 1st. Still no 200% bonus and say I am first. Here is the odd thing. GT5 didn't give me a helmet/Suit instead gives to me paint.....(need more investigation)

**FIXED** Ignore the price for helmet/suit. For some reason PD has changed all the helmet/suit into paint. I am pretty sure it wasn't like that on the day of the release Spec 2.0

I've experienced the tuning sheet glitch..

Went into a drift lobby, chose a car, went into tuning sheet 2 to buy CH tyres, then back out into the lobby, and as the TCS was set to Off as mandatory, when I went into the driving options, it was at 5, I couldn't change it at all, so couldn't race! Had to go back into tuning sheet 1, exit, then driving options, and my TCS was automatically set to zeo.

So I guess when not using tuning sheet 1, the driving options are not set automatically according to lobby settings.
