I don't know if somebody has posted this (I didn't want to find out), but in VGT menu there is still GM design icon, so I thought that some new VGT car could yet come out of GM, possibly Corvette VGT? Or is this just mistake? ;) Hope the first case :)

People always mistake the Chapparal to be the GM, but the Chapparal was a Chevrolet VGT, that also explains why GM is still in the list

...........As long as it has a small-block some where, I really don't mind. Not at all.

But in the list of VGT cars there wasn't Chapparal icon, neither the Chevrolette, who's by the way in GM group, so it should be made by GM design.

So basically you say, because Chevy is a part of GM, the Chaparral should be GM, meaning also that GM is only allowed to make 1 VGT from a daughter brand, i think GM will make a bunch of VGT's from their daughter brands, and one on they're own main brand

Chaparral was built with help from Chevrolet/GM, not really apart of GM much in the way Shelby was not really a part of Ford or Dodge. Or how Callaway really is not a Chevy even though the C12 is basically a redesigned C5 Corvette. If this makes any sense. Cadillac Cien was a "GM Design".

I'd take the fact that the icon is still there, unlike Alfa Romeo, is a good sign that there'll be a GM-specific design eventually.

Then again, we're a year-on with the game and don't have that course maker, perhaps they have yet to catch-on ? ;)

I think Chapparal's VGT was kept secret, that's why it didn't have it's own section in the VGT drop-down list. We never knew Chapparal or even Chevrolet/Corvette were planning a VGT.

But if you look at the team in the VGT section it says "GM CHAPARRAL"

Then after a few weeks it's gone due to a "recall" for wheels falling off in high speed cornering.

I just noticed yesterday that GM Design was still on the VGT lists in both the game and the GT6 website. I was surprised by this, but I won't get my hopes up unless it stay in both places through through a few more GT6 updates. Also the 2X seems to officially be a Chaparral despite being named the "Chevrolet Chaparral 2X Vision Gran Turismo" The 2X was designed by Charles Lefranc, who is a senior designer at GM, so it is still entirely possible that this is the only GM Design VGT that we will get in GT6.

However....

As GM has many brands under its umbrella, I would absolutely love to see another couple of VGT cars to come out of GM Design. A mid-engine VGT competitor to the just announced Ford GT that slots above Camaro and Corvette in the Chevrolet lineup would be great. A futuristic Corvette C8/C9/C10??? concept would also be an option. Cadillac has produced some great concepts in the past and something from the Cadillac brand could be exciting. Modern muscle cars from Buick or Holden would be other interesting options.

Saturn Sky was just a rebadged Opel Speedster.
Nope, they were on completely different platforms. The Sky shared a platform with the Pontiac Solstice, while the Opel Speedster shared one with the Lotus Elise. The Sky and Speedster were completely different cars.

Seriously though, a Saturn Sky VGT would be awesome! The regular car looks damn good as it is.
