So you drive something that LOOKS like an off road vehicle, but you can't drive over a 2cm hump with more that 1.2 BLOODY KILOMETERS PR. HOUR and have to slow the 25 cars behind you to an almost stop ? :mad:

I am getting SO sick and tired of these friggin' RETARDS and their SUVs.. :mad:

Its the exact oppisite up here in Maine. All the soccer moms in their Excursions think they can take on the harsh New England winter. Then when I see them rolled off the highway, I flip them off.

The US should have a seperate class of licensing for full-frame vehicles, or maybe vehicles over 4000 lbs, or maybe vehicles over a certian length, or maybe all of the above.

That reminds me. I saw this guy driving a freaking nissan maxima the other day weaving in and out of traffic going about 20 miles an hour faster than anyone else on the road. What a moron. He's going to get someone killed. I Hate people like that.

Yes. I agree. Soccer mums driving cars that are WAY too big for them and WAY too hard for them to control so they have to go slow wherever they go, and hold everyone up, rule.

What is your criteria for deciding that a vehicle is too big for someone to drive? Have you ever driven a large vehilce? They're not difficult to control.

I hate people that pull their boats behind their trucks. Man that ticks me off. These morons think that because they own a truck, they can pull a boat like 5 mph slower than everyone else is going and risk fishtailing into my lane. What morons! They should just buy a small 2 seater sports car.

That's interesting. Which ones? I've driven some of the largest consumer vehicles that exist and I find that they're usually quite easy to control. I guess the manufacturer had me in mind.

Are you thinking of huge trucks like the ones you have to get a different class of license to drive because they're so much harder to control? The ones with the trailers?

tax loophole - Obviously the tax code doesn't name the hummer specifically, so there must be a tax loophole that talks about vehicles of some kind of class. It's not the manufacturer or the buyer's fault, it's your congress.

You know what I hate? Disabled drivers. Every time I see handicap plates they are always going so slow. It pisses me off. Just because they are god damned gimps they have to drive slow?!

Mexicans can't drive either. Because they're all illegal they're too cautious and drive too slow. And since they can't read the signs because they won't learn English, they have to go too slow to figure everything out in their little immigrant minds.

SUVs shouldn't be "eliminated". Not only is it like saying downloading mp3s should be eliminated (because it is something that has caught on very fast and is everywhere), but having an SUV is also a much better alternative to an unreliable, ugly minivan.

Sure, there are tons of ignorant morons out there, mostly women apparently, that drive in huge SUVs alone or with one child. I won't call you wrong for saying that.

My advice to you is to change lanes. There's nothing you're really gonna do to stop people from buying SUVs and using them to pick up their one toddler then go shopping for groceries.

My parents drive an SUV, a 2001 Dodge Durango, and we're always using it to haul plants or lots of people. SUVs aren't all bad.

In the 1960s and 70s, people drove big ugly station wagons with wood panelling on the sides.

Believe it or not, this is pretty much as big as an Expedition. Same market, 30 years difference. Except today's station wagons (or Country Squires, like Ford called them) are bigger, and most of the time, equipped with 4wd. Oh, and they're now called SUVs.

Can't imagine what they'll end up looking like in 30 years, though... People will whine they're using too much hydrogen, or something like that.

I hate them, but there's not a damn you can do about it. We should ban big rigs while we're at it!

I picked up the sarcasm here, so I agree wholeheartedly.

Driving SUV != Bad Driver.

Unfortunately, the Bad Driver species (pilotus cretinus) permeates almost all strata of automotive society. From the £500 Nova with the cut springs and the £10k bodykit/paintjob and 14MW stereo, to the the Expedition that's brand new and does 2mpg.

I think that part of the problem is that people get into the vehicle operating under the impression that they're superior to everyone on the road, and that this journey is not going to teach them anything. And thus, they are proven correct because they have a closed mind. Driving is a continual learning process.
