My xbox game collection is pretty thin, i really only bought the box for project gotham 2, so i have that, and i bought sega gt 2002, just so i could build myself a few cars to transfer over when gt online came out, and thats it. now PG has been keeping me more than busy, but I figured it was time for a new game. So I ventured out yesterday w/ the original intent of just buying one new game, I was either gonna get top spin tennis or espn hockey. So I go over to my local EB, cuz they never steer me wrong, and what do I find? They're running a special, buy 2 used games, get the third one free!! So I picked up top spin, espn hockey, AND soul calibur 2 :D I love that place

now my xbox game collection is lookin better

Indeed :D I think im gonna go back on tuesday, and if they're still doin it, pick up a few more games. hehe. I wanna get espn football, and i saw a Pool game that looked rather interesting, but I dont remember if that was a used game or new. Id still need another game..hmm...what to get...
 
Some action games...ive really never been able to get into games like counter strike, or rainbow six or any of those kinds of games. im pretty much a racer all the way thru, it seems to be the only genre of game im really any good at :) Some sports games and fighters im decent at. except for espn hockey. i can not seem to do anything in that game. Im too used to EA's NHL series, i always do great in those but espns controls are a bit different and im having a hard time adjusting. I should do alright w/ espn football tho cuz that plays like the NFL2K series, which is what im used to. Ive been thinkin about knights of the old republic, but im not sure what kinda replay value that would have. i mean it does have SOME replay value. but i dont know if 6 months down the road i'll still be wanting to play it
 
Im a bad man. I went back to EB games today, in search of ESPN Football, hoping to find a used copy, but to no avail. They DID have a new copy tho, which was good. But i was kinda disappointed cuz I wanted it to be used so i could take part in their buy 2 get one free deal. I walked in there prepared to spend 90-100 bucks and I was gonna walk out that way!! So i did some browsing, and ended up picking up rallisport challenge, DOA3, and Splinter Cell, on top of ESPN Football :D

I only got splinter cell cuz i wanted to keep all the games under 20 bucks, and there really wasnt anything else under 20 that i wanted. I thought about gettng metal gear solid 2 for ps2, cuz thats an awesome game...but somthing inside just kept saying "xbox...xbox...xbox" so i got splinter cell instead. The cool part tho is that i actually spent LESS than i did the other day when I got top spin, espn hockey, and soul calibur 2, since they were all "older" games, aside from football. And even my "used" copy of rallisport was actually brand new, but it was turned in as used, so i still got the used price for it :) So I feel pretty good about what I walked away w/. And the xbox collection grows.

Still not as many games as i have for PS2, but its damn close :(
 
Frickin' awesome pickups IDAFC!!!! I've got everyone of those games you just picked up. Your entire game library is almost identicle to mine. Good taste. :D

And its too funny you mentioned you're looking for Metal Gear Solid 2 for PS2. I've been trying like hell to find it for XBOX. Its hard as hell to find now. Guess i'll break down and buy a copy off of ebay. :banghead:
 
yeah i feel im pretty well stocked now. I got about 280-300 bucks worth of games for only about 187 bucks so thats always a plus. and my collection is pretty well balanced too. a few sports games, a few racing games, a couple fighting games, and the "strategy/stealth" game. My only problem now tho, is that I DONT KNOW WHAT TO PLAY! Ive got so many games now all of a sudden. hehe. Its also sad too....i havent even touched my PS2 since like the end of the december. I finally turned it on for the first time tonight, but only to hook it up to my computer so i could record a dvd to my computer
 
i was at eb games a few days ago and there was no deal, guess its not in canada.i love eb games too.i went there and picked up nba street vol.2 for xbox and the guy gave me an issue of the official xbox magazine and warcraft 3 for pc for $0.01.thats right 1 penny!
 
i just picked up deus ex 2, the grand theft auto double pack (SWEETNESS!!!!!!), metroid prime ( a little love for my cube) and onimusha 2 for my ps2 (havent touched it since i beat txr3). man! youre right: too many games! I've never had this problem before. SO its a good thing they delayed halo or else these games would wind up collecting dust prematurely. Now i just have to worry about ninja gaiden....

p.s. got mgs substance for xbox last year. great game, still havent beaten the vr missions yet....great, now twin snakes just popped into my head. this is gonna hurt my car fund. :(
 
i was thinkin about gettin the GTA double pack, but I already have both on PS2. Ive actually been playin vice city a lot lately
 
It was worth buying GTA double pack again for the xbox.

this coming from the guy who has both the double packs and bought the original games both on each game's release date.
 
Alright, I'm trading my PS2 and MotoGP2 in and I'll have somewhere around $100. I think I'm going to get Links 2004, Vice City, and Halo. If not Halo, I'm going to get the GTA DOuble Pack. :D


I'll post later and tell you what I got. :D
 
txr3 was over pretty quick. of course i used a walk through for the wanderers (how the hell else am i supposed to figure that **** out? its all cryptic and badly translated japanese). still have it lying around. my ps2 is retired until gt4 and mgs3 though, since pgr2 and rainbow six 3 eat up all my play time.
