God of War Storyline
Set in the dark world of ancient Greek mythology, players take on the role of Kratos, a Spartan warrior. Plagued by the nightmares of his past, the ash covered warrior would do anything to be free of his debt to the Gods and the memories that haunt him. For ten years he has labored for Olympus, now on the verge of losing all hope, the Gods have given him one last task. Destroy Ares, the God of War. Armed with the deadly chained Blades of Chaos, Kratos will have to overcome armies of mythological monsters, legions of undead soldiers, and amazingly dangerous and brutal landscapes.

God of War II Storyline
God of War saw Kratos, a mortal warrior, set upon an epic quest to dethrone a God. But his journey did not end there. In God of War II, Kratos sits atop his Olympus throne, as the new God of War – far more ruthless than Ares ever was. To end his continued torment, Kratos must journey to the far reaches of the earth and defeat untold horrors and alter that which no mortal, or god has ever changed… his fate. God of War II sets an epic stage for a devastating mythological war to end all wars.

This...is...AWESOME!

I don't feel like reading the whole things.. will game be remdade to new Graphics? Or just PS2 graphics on 720p?

w00t! That is awesome, I'll be getting it for sure. God of War was an awesome game although I never got around to playing the second one.

This is way cool! I will most certainly purchase these epic titles and add them to my game collection. Kratos will look good on 720p with 60fps...let the blood fly!!👍

nice, i'm looking forward to God of War 3, but it would have been my first in the series. I will definitely be picking this up when it comes out. I hear the story and game play is very Epic from a fellow God of War enthusiast. :)👍

I never really got into the GoW series, but with the third one coming out, this is definitely pointing me in the right direction.

You really need to play GOW I & II. Great battles, great gameplay, and plenty of action and gore. I'm sure it would make GOWIII make more sense when you play it, but its your choice my friend. Also the combo's are so sweet!

Same here. I've considered it, just never actually pulled the trigger on the purchase. This should do it, though.

I picked up the God of War collection last night for 39.99. I played God of War (1) last night for about 4-5 hours and i'm glad i did! I was really surprised how good the game looked. It played in upscaled 1080p and looked really good. The game is very smooth. It's not as detailed as lets say Uncharted games, but overall i was really impressed. I've played through to the point i just got to blow the horn where the Titan in the desert has the Temple with Pandora's box in it.

One thing that made me laugh is (SOME) of the cut-scenes still seem to be in PS2 rendering/graphics, but the ones that have the beautiful bodies of women have been re-done, so you can appreciate the female form a little more. Felt weird going from the smooth bright graphics to the darker/blockier ps2 cut-scenes. So far i would have been happy paying $39.99 for just God of War alone, but knowing i have a whole 2nd game to look forward to i feel it's a good deal. If anyone was hesitating purchasing it and has NOT played the games before(like myself), i would recommend getting it. If you like hack/slashing with good combos and a few puzzles and tomb-raider like path's to tackle you will enjoy this game.

-Robert :)👍

Has anyone done the "Speed of Jason Alexander" trophy for this game yet? It, and "Challenge of the Gods" trophy is all I have left to platinum the first one but I want to know if you can "walk/run" through it and still make it, or if you have to "roll" the entire way whenever possible in order to make it in time.
