This is Toho's own reboot and has no relation to what Legendary is doing.

As a DVD and Blu ray, absolutely. If you mean shown here when it debuts in Japan theaters then probably not.

One of my personal favorite animes.

That said, I am a bit disappointed that this is releasing on my birthday.
 
Like I said on @Furinkazen's profile page when the pictures of the design released, I'd need to see him in action before I pass judgment, that being said I do love this design now
 
The more I see of it the less I can make my mind up. Tail looks ridiculously big, the legs (especially thighs) remind me of the early Heisei "GhidoGoji" suit from "Godzilla Vs King Ghidorah". However the head and the general stance definitely recall the original design from 1954. By the way this the large scale maquette #1 used to give CG animators as reference.

That song they use sounds like it's straight out of Eva 3.0.
 
Whatever happens, however the movie turns out, those tiny arms are going to bother me. :lol:
 
I actually like this rebirth version of Godzilla, and his atomic breath is purple now, that makes sense because his body is going back to his 1954 self but in a different way.
