Has anybody gone from the standard PS4 to Pro after purchasing Pcars2?

I am willing to spend the £350, but I wonder if I am basically wasting my money.

So, I’d be grateful if anyone that has experienced the game in both consoles can shed some light.

I have a 4K TV, hence the willingness to maximise what I already have.

TIA

You'd be wasting your money if it's just for PCars 2 if however you play other games it is a great machine but SMS did very little to the Pro version and infact looks alot worse than PCars 1.

Yep I've since done and my other games are significantly better in the graphics department, but Pcars 2 unfortunately is not noticeably better

Depends if you can get a good deal, game did a bundle with FIFA when you traded in your standard ps4, mine was a 1tb and it cost £180 which included FIFA.

The graphical improvement on that, f1 2017 and wrc7 definitely made it worthwhile for me.

Pcars 2 has just been very disappointing graphically as discussed elsewhere on here, the 1st one really had that wow factor when it came out whereas sadly number 2 doesn't.

Just my opinion

They don’t seem to have the option of trading... was it on the website as a bundle when you did it or you just asked on shop to leave your old PS4?

Thanks for the replies.

Is not even worth for the 4K?
1360p-1440p, Really it should look better downscaled to 1080p but im pretty sure SMS didnt even bother to give us Pro users that with the amount of jaggies we see.

I've done it. It's not so much of a difference in graphic department (but still better than normal PS4) but game is sooo much smoother so I would recommend. My PS4 pro after selling my old PS4 cost me about £150 so I'm quite happy with the transition.

I’ve done it now. It was a bit more expensive than that as I just traded it in but worth it.

The extra resolution is welcomed and as you pointed out, the smoothness is great. Also, in certain conditions, as nighttime or rain, the visuals shine a bit more than on the standard one.
